I liked the idea of a game-currency-based AH when D3 was still in development. But once I experienced it? Kill it with fire! Plus, PoE doesn't have a currency.

As Chris has already clarified in another thread: there will NEVER be an auction house for Path of Exile. The entire idea of an auction house is antithetical to a random, loot-based ARPG. In all honesty, an in-game currency-based auction house is a bigger offender than a RMAH, but they are both TERRIBLE ideas if you want your ARPG to have any kind of longevity.
We will have both web-based trading, as well as the ability to open trade with anyone in the game world without even having to meet up face to face. |
