[1.1.0] Facebreaker Cyclone in Endgame

What is ur dps after patch and what was before?? is facebreaker good now? better than for example 250 physical dps weapon/.?
please reply, cant decide between dual wield cleave with weapons or facebreaker what deal moer dps?

For your information, you can't actually Cleave with Facebreaker.
And Facebreaker only got a huge damage boost because of how we stack + physical damage mods (which is likely to get nerfed in the near future), and how the physical damage formula was changed.
I'd expect someone with top notch gear and damage passive setups to be able to break 20k cyclone dps fairly easily (40k effective dps).

I had 13.2k cyclone dps before the patch, and 19.5k cyclone dps now.

Facebreaker was always good.

I do not know if it is better than a good weapon, but I suspect you will need a top-notch weapon and work in shock stacks to compete. I only know of one person who has done it, so it's possible.

I think most things are similar at the higher levels if you get top gear and build properly. You'll have to try out cleave and cyclone to see which one you prefer. There is no correct answer, and each build has its own challenges. DPS is not everything.

I have one question here. I am facebreaker as well and after this patch i feel that i have to change something. Tell me, how do u withstanding bosses like Kole, Hilloc? Before patch it wasn't that bad, but now i get killed by 1 hit from that damn smash. I know that it's cos of Abyssus, but I don't know why u didn't mention that problem? U never had problems with high phisical bosses?

Im not the author but i know its a bug after patch, magic/rare/unique bosses was dealing insane dps after patch(probably cuz of change of scalling phys dmg), it was confirmed even in game by mods. It will be fixed soon, hopefully. Died by this lol

^^ i saw when he died, bad player.

Patch is nuts, the Abyss/Caracass facebreakers went from 10 to 20k, and the bringer of the rain ones went from like 6 to 12 assuming max rolls on jewlerly roughly.

Using bringer myself, id be interested to see how u guys do at 40k effective dps on a reflect map.

Working on it. Doing major surgery on my build right now. (btw, the map is pretty safe if you pull out 3 dps support gems to lower dps down to 4k. Phys reflect mobs on phys reflect maps aren't a problem, and you still clear reasonably fast. That's what I was doing previously)

Tried briefly yesterday running dual EnduringCry (to halve cooldown) with Immortal Call and 6 endurance charges. 8s immunity on full charges. Absolutely hated it. It takes forever to build charges up, and I spend more time casting warcry and immortalcall than whirling. I rather lower my dps and just whirl.

Took the leap and converted to Vaal Pact. That opened up a whole new can of worms. The character plays completely differently now. I have to figure out how to deal with sustain again. Zero regen is a bitch, especially when you are a blood magic type with life flasks that don't work. On the bright side, reflect doesn't seem so bad compared to all my other problems... -_-

Since I'm slightly broke now, I guess I'm stuck with it. Have some more ideas, but I think I need a new ring first.

[Initial Notes on Vaal Pact conversion]
Life-based Vaal Pact is nerve-wracking to play. Every map is now a zero life regen map except your flasks don't work. Which sucks as bad as it sounds.

My char is now part glass and part rock at the same time. The usual defenses are still there, but the small hits add up if you don't leech back. Playstyle must be super-aggressive to compensate, and I think you will be even more susceptible to desync. This will take a while to get used to, but I was headed that direction anyway so no big deal. It really is Kill or Be Killed now.. :D

Plays a bit similarly to CI builds? Except they can recover ES and I can't. Still, I don't exactly regret it since I don't like the affliction problems associated with CI.

Switching over to mana based cyclone to ease the stress on hp pool. I don't want to die due to accidental whirling. On the other hand, my mana regen is near nonexistent...

MeleePhysonFullLife is actually viable with VP. But I think I need a leech gem there for now. Still it's something to explore if I can free up the slot. Can hit 24k dps with this.

Could you post a link to the vaal pact build for us? I've been contemplating going vaal pact after the patch hit for the same reasons you decided to but I'm not exactly sure what nodes I should sacrifice in order to get it.
IGN: Dergless
Spec out of life regeneration nodes and use them to get Vaal Pact, should be easy enough if you already specced through that hp cluster on your way to Marauder start.
