Why would anyone play legacy of phrecia for longer than lvl 80?

I just don't understand why would you think anyone wants to play settlers for the third time?
We had settlers for 6 months, we have necropolis settlers which was pretty much just running around picking up 400c a map because divines would show up once every 2 days, and now again we are getting settlers which means you want people to play an event with no atlas, with experimental ascendancies that might end up as a flop since they weren't tested, and you want people to re build their town for a 3rd time?
Why can't you just add affliction back for this event, if you're so scared of players getting loot just nerf the original numbers by 30% because otherwise this is a waste of time for most people.
You can also add flashback event just let us have 10 breaches on every map or something, nobody wants settlers again, and not adding any new mechanic is literally same as going standard because you need days to actually profit off of boats.
Add some core mechanic or you're just wasting money on developing something that won't be played for long...

You're getting a completely new set of ascendancies. You're getting a new approach to end game buffing with relics.

Settlers being a part of it can just be viewed as any other league mechanic being added to the game. I find it ironic that you ask for a previous mechanic to be added (Affliction) while complaining about a prior mechanic being in the league.

I honestly hope they add Settlers to core.

Affliction is honestly overrated. It's just a loot pinata.. who honestly cares about that. The forest was boring and brought no value to the game.

You get an economy reset. That game is already in a good state. You get new classes to mess with. I think people are not grasping how much these idols are going to just explode the endgame.

The only thing I'd say is we'll need more then a month for this to mess with 2-3 builds and farming strategies. For a random event, it's pretty solid. If you need a reason to play longer then level 80, you're probably not enjoying the game to begin with. Maybe it's time to step away.

Yeah, the new ascendancies seem fun. I don't play enough to experience all of them in one month though. I'm a little bummed by that.

They will be available as a private league option, maybe if they turn out to be popular people will crowdfund a large scale private league with them in the future when there's not much else happening.

I don’t really care about settlers, but I’m in for the ascendencies. Probably play SSF and ignore Kingsmarch since I don’t get much play time and it took me over a month to level it up in the league.

Why wouldn't I? Cause I have fun playing PoE 1. No matter what. Every time.

Necro Settlers was in November last year. Pretty sure a few thousand people wouldn't mind an economy reset. Necro Settlers died because of PoE2, and trade getting screwed by people migrating to the original Settlers league (though that was months later).

The only thing I agree with you on is rebuilding Kingsmarch again, which would be dull. Just have Faustus, gold and black market for the event would be ideal.
