Dear GGG, not interested in your POE2 test event "Legacy of Phrecia"

After you guys got MASSIVE blowback from your "we are going back on our promise to develop POE1" message you decided to throw together some junk for a 1 month event. You said, "OK fine, stupid customers that have supported us for a decade, here is some junk for you to play with." Although that was a BS answer to legit complaints about being deceived, you just couldn't resist making it worse.

I can see the conversation around the water cooler now. "Hey, you know why don't we use this to test some POE2 stuff, we can rip out the Atlas passive tree that nearly everyone loves and just replace it with some crappy RNG Sanctum-like drops. We can tell the SSF community and POE1 community to go pound sand at the same time!" Whereupon the cooler crowd nodded their heads at the brilliance. I wonder if anyone there said, "Uhh, not sure that is such a good idea." At this point you might as well pull the crafting bench also and test your changes for POE2 RNG crafting.

I have supported your company for probably near $2000 in purchases for myself or gifts for others over the years. I bought a Liberator of Wraeclast supporter pack at $480. Now I just wish I hadn't. I feel my trust has been betrayed. Is it the decisions of Tencent? Just curious. I know you wont give me my money back and I know you don't care because you are catering to your new customer, the Diablo 4 player. You have completely lost my respect.

you dont like ggg, you're free to complain. but insulting others unnecessarily is poor conduct.

That is the customer they are going for. The simplify to RNG everything customer. I played Diablo 4 as well, but just for the story, the rest of the game is shallow. As is POE2's endgame. Acts are good but long. Endgame is horrible.

But im interested in the 1 Month Test event :)

Initially I thought the event was better than nothing; but over the last few days I began to consider that this might cause 3.26 to come later.

I hope I'm wrong.

He didn't insult anyone. Its not his fault or responsibility to account for your negative feelings about Diablo 4 and its player base.

Agreed. New event is just another waste of everyone's time (like necro settlers).


Fragmenting the existing remaining player base is never a good solution.

Any successful event with a target audience (different than race gauntlets, etc) of everyone should be launched as a content patch -inside- the current league. If it needs to be outside of the league, then it should be part of next league.

I think the new event looks neat. I'm a simple gamer, new reset, longer than two weeks, lots of stuff that will totally change the meta? Count me in.

19(?) new ascendancies and a new way to juice maps are probably enough for me to say; this seems fun enough that I won't be VERY bummed out by yet another 3.26 delay.

Yeah, it seems like it will be fun. I just struggle to get everything done in a month, especially when there are so many new things. So, I expect I'll be disappointed about it being so short and further disappointed if it impacts the full-length league of 3.26.
