Hy guys, I have been on a break for some time and haven't played this game for about 3-4 months of so ... and I wish to start again but I have a few questions :


1) when will take place the next wipe ?! I see on ladder people already at level 80, so I don't want to play as a maniac and when I reach level 60+ ... here comes the wipe :)...

2) I've read somewhere around that the game will become Open Beta in August, is that true ? that means in one month there will be a wipe right ? any date on August when that might happen ?

Yes what you wrote is correct. This game will go in open beta at the start of august and then all characters from closed beta will be set back to lvl 1 and lose all their items. You will keep the name of the character you made though.

So if you wanna reserve a name... better make a character :P.

Based on Chris' recent announcement of 0.9.11 still being more than a week from deployment.

There are lots of people asking about Open Beta dates, and still telling them mid-August is hopelessly optimistic.

As you will notice in the quote I said subject to change. That information was taken directly, at the time of posting, from the thread detailing the plans for patches up to OB release. Fact of the matter is we don't know when exactly it will come. It could be just as confusing to put mid September here and have a post detailing the plans for patches and OB saying August.

Well, mid August is 5 weeks from now. They will not release 3 major patches in 5 weeks. That should be fairly clear.

Meanwhile, people that haven't looked much into the game won't realize there are 3 large content patches between now and open beta, and will think "Oh, the game will be out in 5 weeks and I can just get in then."
