Hardcore- Global death announcements

Sounds like a great idea. I played some d2 mod that did something incredibly similar...but for softcore characters as well. Was always a hoot to see people slain by "fire" or "a trap". It was akin to being killed by a smoke grenade in cs. I'd fully endorse this for hardcore play...but would it only globally message everyone in the same difficulty or gamewide?

So any idea if there are plans for a Hall of Fame on the live site where you can at least see your character name and what level / experience it reached?

I'm not entirely sure about this, but it would be pretty cool to not only see who is on top of the HC ladder but who may have been their and gotten axed.

If they do add in the functionality for one or the other of these idea's i can't imagine the other being hard. I.E. the chatlogs would be timestamped and at that point they could just be exported and pasted somewhere.

Something like PoE most recent Obituaries. lol.

I like the idea, but add option to disable in menu.

Can't see many players paying to have their deaths announced, but try this:

Build that graveyard somewhere in the wilderness, and sell a plot with a headstone. Clicking on the stone brings up whatever witty epitaph the paying player chose. (restrictions apply). I remember something like this in Sacred; some of those tombstones were quite funny.
