Hardcore- Global death announcements

Maybe add a graveyard to each town? Have a grave for each day of the month that has a list of all the death messages for that day in that area/act

Figuring out how to restrict it to avoid getting completely spammed is the main thing; it's hard to judge how often people die from our end, though, so it'd really be up to GGG to come up with a good threshold here (possibly subsequently tweakable by players).

I like that. Even if the don't want to add a graveyard to each town maybe they could use the Noticeboard that already exist.

In RotMG, the notifications are zone-limited. So I could see the same being the case for PoE. But other thresholds could exist, such as those who die to certain bosses or at higher levels as others have mentioned in this thread.

Should add a cannon noise whenever someone dies in Cut Throat leagues just like "The Hunger Games"

Maybe there should be gravestones like in Realm of the Mad god, where max level chars that died even get huge PERMANENT gravstones.
Well, in that game there are no instances so that's a bit easier, but it would be nice ;)

I really love the idea of this death announcements.
They give the feel of hardcore league and have potential to tie people together, like already mentioned as a social factor.

But making it an pay-to-see feature is silly. Something that good should be implemented straightforward into the game to interest people for hardcore league. Also such a system is too easy to abuse as you could leech such information through people who have too much money.

For the sake of motivation a memorial for successful hardcore characters would be even better.

I know it was my suggestion and all, but it would add a nice bit of flavor to HC mode.
