0.10.8 Information and Race Updates

`Great patch guys!

and for balancing;
"
We're looking at rebalancing every skill in the game. The first four are:
Puncture
Lightning Warp
Freeze Mine
Discharge

I love that these are looked at, LW/FZ/DC are 3 skills I really like.

I (and others with me) hope that

is being looked at. It is one of the most obsolete gem skills which has lots of potential.

(I am all in for more trap/mine love anyway, it is hard to make a build based on it, yet so fun :))

Just STFU about the "desync" issues. I've NEVER had a desync except very small enemy warping and I've NEVER lost a HC character to desync. Whiners QQing about desync live in the damn sewers or just doesn't know how to play this game.

Sorry, but dysnc is a pretty bad problem. I'm not one of those people that complain about it really either. I never had a problem with it AT ALL until recently. The game basically freezes on me, or the monsters freeze, or massive lag spikes occur. Many times it has outright killed my character off, sapping experience from me.

I'm confident that GGG is working on this and it will be fixed, but you're talking as if you not experiencing it somehow it doesn't happen to other people. Most of dysnc has NOTHING to do with "not knowing how to play the game".
Quite glad bout the work on maps, just as if you guys could read my mind ;)
Since this the content i most of time play (and quite like) i`m gettin a small orgasm here.

Thanks for starting rebalancing some skills, having lightning warp on the list is just sugar on the cake.
But no new micro-trans? Perhaps some lower-tier price pet or something like that?
Pants? Or how about an alternate Molten Shell-Effect?

I really do not understand what you are trying to say here

Yeah i know that you dont understand, thats why you keep posting unrelated/incorrect stuff.
As i said, i am tired of this. I will see how this turns out once you guys have realized that nothing has changed.
As moosifer said, you will be the first ones to complain again on the forums, and i will be the one to come in and say "i told you so".

I am not complaining, they guys over at GGG make a game, I play it. It's freaking free, I can post my criticism for them to use if they wish, but if I hate the map system but love the game doesn't mean I will stay in this forum all day and complain, I have some map farming to do for myself and I will do it. I dislike a lot of stuff, but if the devs don't give a damn, so do I. If they do, I will try to help. That's how it works for me! :)

ha desynch not metnioned in the patch what a surprise!

another fail patch than thx a lot :p

would it make you feel better if Chris added "Also I've been working on desync" at the end of every patch notes

:p

actually yes it would, if it would be true of course.

poe is a bit like a car with square wheels, and every week they fix something or bring something new like "hey we added tricolor dashboard and improved the back seats" but completely ignored those damn wheels who keep you from driving the car :p

How about tuning act 3 so that this act crashes less and work like act one or two?
How about rework skill arts especially Ice Shot, Discharge ect. to crash/fps drop less?

Dont missunderstand me, im fine with these upcoming changes to act 3, BUT it doesnt make any sense to me when there is some crazy stuff going on that make act 3 nearly unplayable to lots of people?
Sure im think the most can play act 3 well, but im more and more done with this game because of act 3. And act 3 contains the laboratory which crashes nearly on every port in - making maps a waste of time because some i cannot clear until my 6 portals are used - caused by constant client.exe crashes or unexpectet errors. Same happens in docks, barracks, lunaris, solaris - on all maps except City of Sarn and Slums.

Im stalking every patchnotes to read some changes/tweaks or fixes to this. But the only thing that actually was pretty good is the change to Poison Arrow.

I dont understand that my pc isnt nearly working on full capacity (Cpu/gpu runs at MAX to 20-30% most of the time) and the game still causing huge fps spikes caused by skills, art or environment.

That is stuff that need a fix. I wonder how many people have leaved poe caused by this. The most spent a lot of time for searching fixes, tweaks and shit only to play the game since a really fix from patches doesnt come up. And at a point they give up, because literally nothing is happen in that way from the devs.

im at this point. i tried everything to fix some crashes till new ones say hello and telling me "Hey Nurbel, nicely done - how about this brand new crash moth...

man, this sucks, really
NurbelST Level 97 Low Life Animate Weapon (Standart)
DerNurbler Level 96 Low Life Animate Weapon (Talisman/Standart)
Animate_Weapon_for_Life (Essence)

Some cool changes overall. I do have a couple of questions, though.

Regarding maps, with this recent change, has the possibility of bumping the map level range up to 69-80 from 66-77 come up? This would increase the max level before penalties started kicking in everywhere to 89, making the grind to 90 easier, but still keeping those last 10 levels difficult.

Second, I am sad not to see anything regarding lag spikes (not desync). Last night alone, I had two spikes where my characters was performing actions, but the mobs were frozen. Fortunately, the situations in which they happened were not very dangerous, and I logged out quickly, so I did not die, but I lost a level 57 character on Merciless Ledge to this, which made me almost quit the game. I'm not sure if the two lag spikes last night were on my end, but the one that cost me that character was definitely GGG/server side, as multiple people lost their characters, and there was no 1-2 minute rollback to compensate this lapse in stability.

I raise the above point, because while lag/instability that's not GGG's fault is tough shit, and desync can usually be avoided in many cases with careful/smart play, server-wide lag spikes that massacre Hardcore characters cannot.
hell yeah this is the patch i have been waiting on to start playing again. though i am quite addicted to Monaco at the moment. keep up the good work!

We were sorely missing repeatable end-game boss runs. It was a major oversight to launch Open Beta with Piety runs as lacklustre as they were. These changes make her a lot more rewarding. It's a lot of fun to do Merciless Piety runs and actually have a chance at decent items and experience.

I love you for saying this. Glad to know you see this issue and that it's on your radar <3
