What are you talking about here, the increase in levels of the different areas in act 3?
People already farm docks right now, after the levels have been increased, they might farm lunaris, but that does nothing for the map drop rate.

As i said though, this is completely unrelated to anything i mentioned in my post.
It does not grant any additional accessability for 67+ maps, because in order to get maps out of maps, you have to use currencies.
Whether you have 50 level 66 maps, or only 5, you will have to use currencies.
If people are having issues to get to higher level maps RIGHT NOW, then they will also have issues to get to higher level maps after this patch, because nothing will have changed regarding 67+ maps.

Having access to more low level maps does not grant any access to higher level maps, even if you count the recipe, since the recipe is bad.
If you want to create a level 69 map, you will have to use 27 lvl 66 maps.
I was farming sarn city in merc for about 12 hours before i started doing maps (from lvl 59-74). I got a total of 4 maps out of sarn city during that time.
Even if they were to increase the dropchance of piety so much that you could farm triple the amount of maps in the same time as you could previously, you would still only have about 12 maps.
Farming low level maps in order to use them in the recipe is pointless.

The piety change grants a little more access to level 66 maps, and thats it.
The level increase of the areas is completely unrelated and does nothing regarding map accessability.

I had already addressed this.
They did not state anything specific, just some vague statement.
We got that same vague statement the last 3 patches in a row.
At this point it is nothing else than stalling.
Besides, i dont see how a future change is related to the feedback i am providing for an imminent change.


They are not tripling drop rates, they are making sure you get a map dropped off Piety as a new drop. And getting access to 67 maps from 66 is all about transmutation and alteration orbs, this barely any currency, you get a huge amount of these every day, I use 30% quantity on my maps from mods ONLY, no chisels and 99% I get a map from a random garbage mob, not from a rare. Still I do get a map though with spending barely any currency. If I could get a lot more maps for 66 from Piety I would get a hell of a lot more 67 and 68 maps in shorter time plus some exp from there. Plus if this barely affects the map system by only allowing more accessibility to more people, then where is your problem in the first place? The fact that they can reach your level? Fine but they will have never touched a map run up to this point, whereas you will already have farmed a load of them and already had access to the content in there. You are actually having a problem with people being able to reach higher levels and better loot outside of maps when you are the one saying that the map system is problematic and does not guarantee any progression inside of it? I really do not understand what you are trying to say here, but if it is that you dislike the fact that people will reach your level, then you are completely missing the point of competitiveness in online games.

About the vague statement, what I said is pretty much speculation but it can be true that they are looking into more map drops within maps especially when these drops are locked to map runs. Think about it!

Your feedback for an imminent change may be something they are already looking into and just want to fix later on along with something else when it makes more sense. E.g. if they start rebalancing gems and then introduce certain changes to melee, we may need little changes to our passives, but if the introduce the melee chamges now, many melee players will either shift or quit, which is undesired and should better be delayed. Something similar may apply elsewhere, not that this is necessary!

I am all for GGG doing major balance changes to the game, we are in beta & it is now that these things should be done. Let's wait and see if it is for the best, GGG feel it is and we have to trust them.

If all of your currency consists of transmutation, augmentation and alteration orbs. You're doing something seriously wrong. If you drops chisels, alchemy orbs and chaos orbs on 66 maps, you're doing something seriously wrong.

Most of you people have no clue at all how to play or roll maps when being solo. If you start with a base of 10 66 maps, you should never run out of maps. If you are too lazy to farm the above mentioned orbs to roll your maps decent and subsequently run low quality maps with no pack size/more rares/maze/... mods, it is your own fault you're running out of maps.

I like the changes, it'll give a more diablo-feeling to the game with the ability to actually do boss runs effectively. It will give players an easier time to get 66 maps which do give (in comparison to all the incorrect information and rants posted here) an easier chance to get higher lvl maps for a minimum investment of currency.
