What's the point of other strike skills when LS and MS exist?

It's a dual wielding skill, of course it can do more single target damage than LS, but it'll have worse clear and less tankiness. And I don't think it's beating MS in any case.

Maybe, but even if that was the case, your statement was that LS and MS exeed all other strike skills in ALL aspects. DS exeeding them in single target would already falsify your claim.

Personally i think it is very unlikely not to say impossible for a skill/build to exeed all others in every aspect and on every budget level. Like yeah MS is awesome once you got that Nimis but on lower budget's it isn't that hard to beat.

There will always be a meta skill, they cant balance it exactly. I agree that there could be a bit more balance on some of the skills, but also think it's not too bad. The worst I can remember it in recent time was when everyone was playing SST. It felt mandatory in HC. I think they have made a lot of melee skills that weren't particularly usable more appealing this league. Perhaps in doing this they have made some skills that were already strong too strong. On the data base I see from last league to this league LS 1% to 14%, MS 1% to 5%. Not sure if this tends to flatten out later in the league as people create more builds than their league starters. 14% is probably getting a bit too high, I would think it will get reigned in a bit next league, but also doesn't mean it is the bests build for everything because a large amount of people are playing it.

There is a guy on a post a few days ago looking for a good simulacrum build. I'm assuming he has thought about the meta builds and is looking for something else. There's also a person who started hexblast mines, also meta, got bored, changed to another meta build that was too squishy and wanted to find something more suited for expedition farming. If they balance all the builds to equal player numbers, it will unbalance other aspect of the game. I assume this is why they are careful with these metrics. Evening up this one aspect of the game might result in builds being broken in other areas, like farming types of content.
