VIDEO GUIDE ""~~;..;~V ELMO'S PEACOCK (PCOC) BUILD
" You didn't actually cover lightning thorns in that video, and it would play out quite differently I would think... |

Thanks Elmo for your time and effort in these builds, will try it out. After all i was looking for a spin to win build. CHEERS!

I can't wait till i have level my character up using this build, like you said quite unique and i feel like i'm wolverine now haha using claws and what not :P

Levelling up as CI sucks without good levelling gear though. Was flying through until around lv30, now I kind of hit a wall and I die super quick :(

That's why you get some hp nodes while leveling and later spec out of them when you make the switch. You don't need to switch to CI until middle of Cruel Act 2, most people make the switch even later, like Merc Act 2. You can use the respec points you get from quest, usually about 10 should cover it.

Alright I'll start picking up a bunch of HP nodes for awhile then. Thanks!

" Oh sorry about that, well lightning thorns is something that effects every class. Recently there waqs a patch that changed lightning thorns to effect all damage types and not just physical, now lightning thorns is triggered off all damage types including elemental, spell, and physical. I don't think there is one real counter to lightning thorns as it is a tough mechanic to deal with no matter which class you are. You are correct in saying hitting more often owuld in fact trigger the effect so yes in a way it is a tough mechanic for this class but that is an impact statement....all classes have a varying degree of difficulty with lightning thorns now. Some classes and builds will have an easier time with this (for example marauder has the reduced crit damage and maximum to all resists which would help with this, coupled with puritylightning thorns can be very manageable) this is the best case scenario and most effective way in the game to deal with it, with that being said mauarders still die to the dreaded thorns. The best thing any class no matter the skill nodes, skill types, life pools, and other factors is to just be aware of lightning thorns and deal with it slowly, no class will GG lightning thorns and complete be able to ignore it unless there a totem build. To answer your question yes I have tested it vs lightning thorns, my answer is to just be aware of it and dont go nuts vs it, the build has about 10 open spots for skill gems, you can equip a single target skill of any type to deal with this one situation and even use purity to edge off the damage a little more as there is more then enough mana to on this build to run (1, 40% aura) as well as the auras I have listed, I can confirm this as I do it while still maintaining unlimited mana cast. I really hope this helps! |

Sorry to pepper you with so many questions, but what do you think about the prospect of dropping blind when the new stun-on-crit mechanic goes live?
|
|
" Absolutely not, this build was made to coincide with that mechanic to give it even more survivability. I do talk about this in the videos and on the first post, stunning enemies will just add more survivability which is never a bad thing. |

Everyone has been very greatful of my build and work here, I have had players ranging from LVL 20 who are new at the game to multiple players over 90 all the way up to 94 saying thank you and telling me they are going to reroll this class.
Everyone has been great and polite and is extending their thanks to me, and for this I thank you all. As soon as I'm done studying in an hour or so I will update the first post with gear I will be giving away for free |
