Map Management Resource

Drop rate on maps is absolute garbage. I don't know how a group even manage to progress at all when maps just don't drop.

Its not difficult if you have 6 people contributing. You may not be able to 75-77 non top but doing 72 or higher non stop is generally very easy.

Running maps solo will make you go broke. Guarenteed.

You can't sustain maps without a large currency pool.

The point of a group is that u run more maps for less input.

Heh solo mapper.

No, i'm aware that if i don't get lucky with drops i will go broke. I'm just curious who else does this and how lucky they had to be to have the currency too constantly roll quality 75+ maps.

Plus i like to play alone and i'm a summoner with 10 zombies, 4 spectres and 2 spork totem's. So these are my choices.

At least one person I know of is sustaining 72+ maps reasonably well, and rolled according to the guide too. Solo. (I use "at least" because I only asked the one person, though at least one other person on my friends list runs high maps solo.)

Between orb drops, sales of good rares/uniques and sales of Precincts and 77s, he's just about breaking even, I think. Wasn't geared for MF either.

I'm firmly against selling high lvl maps, thought i wonder if thats the only way i will be able to sustain my current progression. The issue i have had recently is a great run of map drops, but a shitty run on anything of note. By that i mean something that can sell for at least one exalted. 4.5 ex for a claw and 2 andys(one was a 50 i divined to become a 51....) sustained me for quite awhile.

Now that is gone, and has of yet to be replaced with another drop(s). Have also yet to see anything worth more then 5 ex drop. I have long been waiting that 20+ ex drop that will allow me to be flush with currency, but that of course has yet to happen. I'm not complaining, but it shouldn't be this much of a currency sink.

My suggestion would be remove maze/massive from the affixes list, while making them baseline. Drop rates are fine if half the maps weren't ones you could clear in 10 minutes. One little change and i could save 100's of chaos. The pursuit of that alone has been simply awful.

It is possible to do 72+ non stop with almost zero net investment if you sell at least a few of your 77s and have a group to work with.

The problem for a solo mapper isn't even currency, it's getting map to actually drop. at 70+ 4/5 maps will be lower level.
Somewhere i read that map drops aren't increased by party members or item quantity, it's just based upon the quantity of the map. Just curious how long people have gone without that one great drop. I have had some ok to good ones, but nothing that sold for more then 4.5ex. WHen your talking about 100's of maps, you need like 10 ex just to roll them.

So, lets take a poll

would you run this, seems to shitty a maze to me for a 76 map

Another 71 maze map with 40% item and 44% more magic and 0 map drop. This is gonna make me quit. No matter how much I no life this I cannot progress unless I buy maps from people who got extremely lucky.

Correct. Map yield is not influenced by party bonus nor item quantity bonuses.

No. I would not run that map.
