Nice Gorge. Dark Forest falls just short of Lyralei's stated criteria, but I would run that map. Necropolis is a toss-up: it's got two inhabit mods, but the quantity really sucks.

Also, hey there mamba.

Nice info, love it.

Newbie map runner question ... As a low life IIQ/IIR build and no Shavronne I need to avoid chaos like the plague (pun?). Given that, is there a quick and easy guide to what maps to avoid?
im pretty sure the random mob types can include chaos damage mobs on every map, so there are no 100% safe maps. however, some maps (sewers, thicket, spider lair, wharf and others) include signature mobs or have bosses which do chaos damage, so you wanna avoid those.

Really? Now that just sucks. What do folks who run low-life without Shavronne's do? I play SC but it's still not fun losing XP to death. I would imagine it's not approachable at all in HC if that's the case. Do people just farm the docks and/or lunaris?
yes, thats exactly what they do. i imagine you could farm some of the better low level maps (trop island maybe), and get out if you see chaos mobs. they are cheap enough that you could probably afford to waste some, and the bonus iiq would still be worth it.

on another note, question to Lyr or whoever is following the guide.
since underground sea is so bad and temple is so good, do you just trade in your underground seas?
I have like 10 of them and my map pool is mostly 69s-72s, with not that many 72s.

I used to do so in the past but not anymore. Temple is very nice, but not that nice. ANd Underground Sea is poor, but not that poor.

The only exception applies when you cannot do the Totem Boss because your light res sucks, then you are better off with Temple (and don't dream of going near Piety in that case either)

ok thanks, yeah Ill probably just run most of these underground seas.

I can definitely handle damage even after two shock stacks from an overlord kuduku, but hes really annoying sometimes because Im a summoner and hes uncursable. probably worst boss there is for summoner aside from piety and magaera.

As a pure ES user I tend to use this

while fighting Totem, Temple Piety, Maze Vaal, Shrine Piety. Temple Piety became absolutely manageable with the Tricorne, even though I lose like 1/5 of my ES without my circlet.

Low life without Shavronne's is a cheap way of farming LT2-3. Not every build is viable for endgame. Lowlife dual spork is the most popular way of getting currency, not a build you can run maps with.
