Yes, but
More party members = less currency spent per map.

True. I'm taking a break from doing maps myself for this reason, its just not fun to me at the moment to chain Maps hoping to be blessed by the RNG gods :)

Is that Temple map really so good? Just rolled one with maze and 92% Quantity, got 1 map lvl 66, I didnt even have to go vendor to clear my eq from items (I have over 80 IIQ and similar rarity). Iam quite pissed off now. Is it common thing that map like this doesnt payback in any way? Is that map system that dumb?

Its completely RNG. All you can do by rolling a map as good as possible with the best possible affixes for it so you can tip the scales a bit your way. It is completely normal that you get no/low mapdrops from a very nicely rolled map and sometimes get 3-7 Maps from just an alched Map you want to do cause your group is not online.

The guide is just here to explain the mods, what is a desirable affix on a map and whats not. AFter that, its all RNG.

there is no such thing as RNG in long run my friend

Things to remember:
Before you begin maps seriously, you must approach content with an open mindset and a willingness to invest in your maps. Realise that there will be streaks of bad luck where your maps yield no returns and you must learn to accept this.

Hows about...no. Bad system is bad.
The Commanders suffix has been removed from most of the recommended affixes after some thought and only included on higher tier maps. Players should still make note of when they wish to run it as its primary use is for high ilvl items and not so much for drop efficiency.
I find the commander affix perfect for tryin to move up in map level.... i try to get as high qty as i can with commander/champ - seems to work most the time, i usually run outa 66's this way and end up with a nice pool of 67's...

i bought maby 10 maps to start with and had maby 4 i got while lvling up - while using those up i got more than 3x that many 66's (went from lvl 62-72 basically) and im left with 16x 67's and 3x 68's -- i tend to pick commanders/champ with anything over 25% or massive/maze or ill stop if im over 35% usually too...

you should add any indoor maps that have chilled ground mod, are horrendous and should be avoided for any melee. I did a spider lair with that mod and pretty much 90% is covered.

/edit: also this is a great write up, good work. I'm actually starting to use it as I'm beginning 73 + maps

I think this has to be the maddest NON-MAZE sewer I have ever seen.

2 prop magic map with only ele-equil and phys-reflect.

Casually casual.

Layout is random at times. Even a Maze can be utterly terrible unfortunately, which is why people should never assume that you HAVE TO roll a certain combination of affixes.

Yup, I've seen mazes that are far worse than a good normal on all indoor maps, other than spider lair/nest. That's always a good size normal and a bigger maze.
