How do people get to Level 100? I try since over 5 years stuck at 98...


My Profile is public, and i try to avoid all kind of uncertainties.
-I dont run maven, shaker, elder, or other crazy bosses.
-I dont do delve anymore (was to rippy)
-I organised the build in a way that i am almost immune to all map mods
(mark, curse, corrupting blood, freeze, chill, reflect, silence immunity)

But still, the exp rate is so low that if u die ONES after hours of grinding u lost progress of past 8 hours.
I mainly spamm rare, corrupt, blackstar T16 Atoll maps, since that boss is an easy boss.


But then it happens again, you die of something you never died before.
Map swapped to Laboratory while corrupting, you never died to that boss (its ironically the same boss skills that my own build is)... and then he oneshot you after you teleported to the next arena stage.

Then you open a strongbox and have some explosion or detonate dead oneshots.

Or you phase some "Needle-Moas" or how they called, those who make phys dmg projectiles on death. And they lucky crit you to dead.

Any tipps/idea how to level even more safe. the youtube videos i found are mostly outdated from 2020. And only showing like the last 1 %...

Solo play only, no 5 ways (i always die there), no chayula (to expensiv, and boss is rippy too)

You do "juicy T16" maps that gives you 2 - 4% per map.
I joined those map type as level 99 and got to level 100 after about 30 maps.
It's pretty simple, make a build that doesn't randomly die.

This league I leveled from 99 - 100 in 2 days.
I died twice during that time.
I did maps with Blight, Ritual, Metamorph, Essence and Harbinger as my atlas strat during that time.
Yeah its mostly the build, i have leveled multiple 100s purely on maps. First is too actually setup the maps for atleast 2-3% per map, and as long you do not die you level up in 30-50 maps or so.

Then you open a strongbox and have some explosion or detonate dead oneshots.
- the way to counter boxes is to either be freeze immune and always walk out of range, or have build that explode corpses/good block recover build would be ok too

Or you phase some "Needle-Moas" or how they called, those who make phys dmg projectiles on death. And they lucky crit you to dead.
- if you die to on death porcupines, your build is severely lacking defense

Extremely important note: make sure to reroll maps with bad mods your build dies too, for instance crit multi, -max res and such is detrimental to most builds.

Just to give you an idea of my fire build dude, which is a build i leveled to 100 several times: 7k+ life , 88-90 max fire res and 60%+ phys damage taken conversion to fire, 50% ele taken conversion to fire, around 2000-3000 life regen per second, chain explosions to delete packs, can stand in strongboxes, was able to last wave ultimatums every single map during ultimatum league. The only thing capable of killing that build was either something very unlucky happening or ofc failure to reroll bad map mods.

don't die, do juiced maps.
I got 100 the first time this league by running maxed Beyond with a headhunter. The crazy high pack size and quick clear net me like 3% a map.

Avoid Beyond and make sure you have freeze immunity when opening strongboxes.

There are two ways to level from 99 to 100:
> Easy way: buy 20 Chayula Pure Breachstones and join group rotations (6 players contribute with a breachstone each - you do six runs for the price of a single breachstone)
> Hard way: Avoid all risky map mods and content (eg. beyond, monster crit, -maximum resists maps, Sirus, Manven invites, specific altars, etc). If you allocate Abyss and Blight monster density passives and run your maps with Abyss & Blight scarabs, should be able to level from 99 to 100 in 100-150 maps, assuming you don't die.
I got my first 100 on standard this league. Build for survival. The fastest way to get to 100 is to not die. Sounds trite, but its true. run t16's on blank maps, no mods. lvl 83 heists, no mods. I just scour evrything. Id rather run 100 maps w/ no deaths and lvl up than run half that many with a risk of death. It took about 15-20 hrs per lvl. died twice once i decided to make the push for the last 2 lvls, usually to zoning out and face planting into a pack. Hardest part for me is not getting bored and changing it up to something else..
Whoa, your gear is insanely good! 10k ES???

For survivability, %ES recovered on block helps A LOT. You can get this on a shaper shield, or run Aegis Aurora with Determination. It's overpowered.

Enduring Cry with Zealot's Oath is a pretty good "oh shit" button. Endurance charges and recovery on block help a lot with the porcupine needle explosions.

You can roll flasks so they gain charges when you are hit (sinner's, flagellant's, masochist's prefix). Enchant those with "use when charges reach full" and they will be up almost all the time. So you can run a Ruby and Topaz and Sapphire flask for less ele damage taken. (I only ran Ruby and Topaz by default, my Sapphire flask is for bossing, I ran a quicksilver in that slot).

To get 100, I ran rare Tier 16 maps with one layer of delirium (one layer adds the extra monsters, but doesn't make the map much harder). My average map was about 70 quant and 27 pack size. I specced the atlas tree so that Abysses and Strongboxes spawned more monsters, and used Abyss and Ambush scarabs. I picked guaranteed Harbinger and Essence. I chose the node that adds pack size for maps run with Fortune Favors the Brave. I ran Eater of Worlds influence with extra altars and Influenced Monster pack size. I also ran some easy unique maps with the atlas node that makes those have higher monster level - the Harbinger Beachhead, Coward's Trial(probably best), Maelstrom of Chaos, and Pillars of Arun.

I took all the atlas nodes along the top of the tree that increase effect of map modifiers, because that increases the bonus quantity and rarity and pack size you get, too.

I rolled my maps in batches, in different play sessions than I ran them, to be sure I never accidentally ran something rippy. On my CI Vortex Occultist, I avoided -max res, ele weakness, monster crit, monster ailment avoidance, ele reflect, consecrated ground, more than one physical damage added as element mod, bosses are possessed, monster aoe, burning ground, hexproof, reduced armour and block chance, reduced player aura effect, enfeeble combined with more life and increased ele res.... You have to run a LOT of maps from 98 to 100. Make them easy for yourself. You'll have plenty of maps, you Will sustain these days, so only run the layouts your build (and computer! Choose maps you don't lag much on!) is most comfortable with. For me that was a lot of Strands and Atolls and Mesas and Icebergs.

I added even more monsters with Einhar missions/bestiary scarabs/lures. Einhar's also nice, because he sticks around until you kill the last beast. So, if one of the beasts is imprisoned in an Essence, you can keep Einhar and his nice regen aura for the whole map, for some extra safety.

When I ran out of Einhar missions and scarabs, I swapped to Alva. Lots of extra monsters in the incursions.

After 98 I did not delve, go in the sacred grove, open unidentified strongboxes, or go in Vaal side areas, or do any other side content I wasn't 100% sure I could steamroll. If you do them at all, never give metamorphs powerful crits.

I always ran with 4 voidstones sextanted. Be careful with those. Don't combine "players and monsters take extra damage from element" with the map mod giving monsters physical damage as extra of the same element.

From 99-100 I got about 1% per map. I tried hard not to look at the experience bar, so I wouldn't get nervous or impatient. I made sure to never play if I was tired, and gave myself lots of breaks.

If you're just aiming on lvling, you don't necessarily need crazy damages. If you can spare some, grab a Determination, even a Banner of defiance. That'll protect you against a ton of threats and you'll wander with ease through packs.

Immunity to freeze, stun, eventually corrupted blood..

Then you choose your level of risk.
You can avoid Legion, Breaches, Metamorph, Harvest and such if you don't feel like doing it, you still can find a Mirror of Kalandra by killing random trash mobs anyway ;)

Same for map mods. If you want to be completely safe, pick only the areas you like/with least dangerous mobs/bosses and zero risky mods. Heck you can even skip bosses)

For exemple : cemetary (you just clean the area, the boss won't do much during a few seconds, but even if you didn't instant killed it, just don't stay in his aoe and you're good) ; Strand (kill everything on the way, kill baby-lvl-threat boss, portal, next !)
Craft a few dozens of blue maps then alt every risky mods : reflect, anti-regen, -x% max resist, beyond, crit, +X% phys as an element, vulnerability (ele weakness if not surcapped)... At this point you should be completely safe, then it all depends on you.
IIRC took me just ~100 blue maps to get from 98 to 99 using this strategy once.
Getting to lvl100 then is just the same, a bit longer ^^

Setup a good playlist, activate your auras and cut through those unbuffed mobs like a lawn mower map after map. If you don't randomly suicide against groups of rares or stay close to a strongbox (how can people die on those ?! Just step away !) and don't "waste" time grabbing every tiny currency on ground or on long events that give you the feeling it never gonna ends then.. you'll see your exp bar fill constantly !
