Noob question here, do you need to be low life to activate spell dmg bonus from RF? Can't find on wiki that you you need to be on low life but on RF section on page 1, it says you must be in low life. Please clarify. TIA.

You dont need low life for RF, The extra spell dmg at low life is from Pain attunement. low life is also needed if you want to benefit from wondertraps.

My ES Feels low...

I can sustain RF with some ES regen.

How much ES should I have?

Does anywhere in these 80+ pages show the actual bids for mid level?
Showing just the beginning and end is rather silly!

I was going to give you all the calcs, but really I would just be repeating a lot of the information provided about RF on the first page of this thread. Check there for how to calculate your RF ES.

The only thing that catches people out is that if you have the buff passives (inner force), then it increases the damage you take too. so you need to multiply your RF damage per sec by 1.3 (30% being the total buff provided by the 3 passive nodes).

basics are
total hp * remaining resist % (* 1.3 if you have inner force) = dmg per sec.
dmg per sec / your regen sec % = amount of ES you need to sustain RF

Just curious, why do the recommended flasks have 'restores 3 charges when you take a crit'?

Do your flasks refill if your totems take a crit?!?!

I can't see anything when Im farming in lunaris or dark maps >:(

You must be pretty lucky with drops to get a chaos or two per run. either that or I'm just unlucky heh.

I'm running at 73/280 , and in the last 7 runs at docks I pulled in a massive.

1 Scouring
1 Fusing
1 Chisel
1 Alch

-.-

0 Uniques
0 white Occultist Vestments
0 white maelstrom staffs
3 6s items

Averaging about 8 rare drops per run.

Yeah that guy must have a horse shoe up his ass because I'm getting less than you drop wise and I have a tad more IIQ/IIR sitting at 83/280. This build really doesn't beat RNG lol. I haven't seen a unique in over 2 days and it was junk and I might be dumb when it comes to selling stuff but I've only really been able to sell 1 ring for 4gcp and jewelers/alt orbs
Can someone clear up which is better to use springleaf or rise of the Phoenix. Keeping in mind we all know a high es shield with crit is better but were talking the cheaper route until we can afford a shield like that

Springleaf imo. But it really depends on how much ES and regen you already have.

Springleaf is 6% regen at low life, 6% is a massive amount of regen. If you can survive without that regen and have enough regen or ES without it, then yes there are better shields, but its a great starter for sustaining RF.

Personally my ES is only about 2.6k which is pretty low and thats with my best ES shield, so therefore I use a springleaf which drops my overall ES to something like 2.3k but the regen enables me to sustain RF.

with higher ES you might manage to get away with a tiki amu which gives you a 1% regen boost. then you can use any shield you like. At least until you have the ES to provide full support.

edit: couple of additions
I should also say a springleaf costs next to nothing to buy, whereas the the rise of phoenix is 1 ex+ ?
On the plus side of the rise of phoenix is that it increases your max fire resist, and therefore would significantly reduce the amount of dmg you take. The ES on this shield is low though and you would still need a decent overall ES to support RF. (i.e. it doesn't bring down ES requirements to springleaf level).
