Running a somewhat simmilar build atm. and now i have a huge problem with my dps somehow.
I know not every stat will work on a spell totem, the game doesnt "know"/take into account its a totem, and hence displayed dmg might not really be what youre getting, but still.

Would really appreciate any help on what to do for more dps.
Curently looking for a wand + shield , will buy anything such as rings ammys belts aswell,
if only i knew what other types of mods i can actually make use of. have a laousy wand lv 50 that SOMEHOW gives more dps than anything ive seen/bought/tried so far and im HOARDING like a museeum. tried like 50 wands, 10-20 shields and im still not sure which mods really help.

Maybe you or anyone else here has a better understanding on what mods im actually looking for.
Any sort of help is real welcome, in case anyone thinks hes got something for me to trade, just pm me.

Again, nice build here, cant wait to see some more ideas and possible changes with future skills/patches.

anyway let me do my final analysis on comparison between good 6l ES chest vs soul mantle vs shavs when it comes to a iir/iiq build (now that i've tested out all 3 extensively):

good 6l es chest :

wont die, but boring n lacklustre dps in comparison to the other 2

soul mantle :

very nice dps from 3 totems or 2 totems n self cast, lack of es on chest doesnt really matter much if u go CI. curse stacks can be irritating but honestly with 3 totems or totems+some minions as meat shield i could get up to 7-9 curses on me n still not die since i dont get hit.
cheap n effective, but has the lowest survivability of the 3.
p.s : note that a 5l soul =6l n 6l soul = 7l since u dont need to waste a link for spell totem. i'll still try to get a 6l soul but not to keen to try atm after my miserable luck with 6l-ing shavs.

shav wrappings :

high dps but must run RF. pointless without RF. it's still pretty hard to say which has higher dps, soul mantle or shavs, but shavs is definately safer since u wont end up with curse stacks.

conclusion :

if u're on a budget or just care about clearing speed, get soul mantle. if u absolutely do not want to die, stick with shavs.

wearing full ir/iq gear, u dont clear mobs instantly without the added dps from soul mantle or low life RF. that's why i quit using rare 6l es chests, they contribute nothing to killing speed. ( i dont know where u mf at, but 5k dps is definately not sufficient to clear instantly in higher maps ). u're right if u're talking about farming in areas like docks or low level maps, but then for those maps i wouldnt need the comfort of a high es chest either.

as for chaos dmg... most of it is easily dodgeable, all the more so when u're a totem user. i havent died to chaos dmg at all since i gave up my CI build. and if u're really that worried about chaos res u can get chaos res on gear. iir isnt everything, iiq is more important so using advarius/aurseize aint a must.

the only time i'll say a 6l rare is better is when u're in a party n u're the designated MF biatch with the only concern being staying alive and culling strike. or else in solo play i highly prefer the extra dps of soul/shav.
