more on comparing soul mantle CI build to low life shav wrap for magic find...

soul mantle = 3 totems while shav wrap = pain attunement, and soul mantle = 30% item quantity from goldwyrm while shav wrap = 100% item rarity from wondertrap.

major diff is RF.

but i cant seem to be able to run RF with full iiq+iir.

right now with 96 iiq/ 417 iir (inclusive of gems) and shav wrap, i'm unable to run RF. which essentially means i'm losing out on a huge reason on why low life builds are so good. if i run springleaf i can use RF, but that would mean losing a huge chunk of dps+ES which would not make running RF better overall.

i solo up to lv 72 maps with my mf setup, and i would love to be able to run RF to speed runs up.

any thoughts on how i can run RF without dying? and btw i have 0 life regen, n did not take ghost reaver or any life regen nodes. seeing as how i have 500 total hp i dont think % of life regen would help.

Problem with soul mantle is the poor es he grant
Noway to get 6k es except with 40exalt Stuff around him (And you will must drop iq/ir)
With low life shrav you got so MANY ES and spell power with only pain and RF
You can focus on other things
Soul mantle is not really good (Only advantage is the price atm ... only 2ex non linked)

With shrav disci and mid game glove helm shield
You easily reach 5k who is enough with (1%regen + vitality 17)

I am currently level 36 and I am having difficulties figuring out which build is better of yours. In your posts I have found two fairly different routes for points so if you could please enlighten me as to which one is better or which one you personally use, that would be awesome because I may need to respec a bit, but I'd rather do it now and not later when it might require far more points (i.e. regret orbs which I don't have).

Thanks man, so far I'm enjoying it! I have one totem and just found a 5l chest so as of now I'm running

spell totem - fork - spark - added lightning damage - increased rarity

I'm starting to notice my damage go up as I level my gems and take offensive passives (such as lightning damage). I need to farm up though, I got so into the moment rushing through content I managed to get carried to Act 2 cruel and I'm only level 36, monkeys own me so I need to go back and farm docks in normal or something in act 1 cruel, haha.

with soul mantle i go CI. with the extra 20% ES node, i have the same ES with non-ci shav.
so saying soul mantle is bad because of low ES is wrong since overall i have the same ES as i have when i use shavs. and that's no where near 40 ex of stuff. and while i lose 100% mf from wondertrap when using soul mantle, i can use my iir/iiq rare boots, so while i lose ir i gain iq, which makes it a relatively equal trade imo.

which boils down to my point.. the main power of shavs would be in RF, but i dont see a way to run it safely? i'm at 5k ES with a horrible 108 ES helm (cant find a better iiq+iir for now), and while i have maxed out resists it's capped at 75% only ... so is that enough to run RF permanently? with only 1% regen n vitality? and if i run vitality i need zealots oath which i dont have?

Post your build i will try to see this for show you a way
But if the build is totally modified
i can't give way for any ppl who wanna change the build and can't sustain rf

Just follow the build
and read all tips
Over level the content is allways better
drop added lightning damage and take faster casting
For levelling drop increase rarity and take lighning penetration

current build with shav, modified slightly from my previous CI soul mantle build.. basically reset 5 points from CI nodes and got 2nd body n soul. will pick up the 16% chaos res node once i level.

Edit : i think all i need to do to run RF is to get zealots oath n use vitality + get 1% regen from a passive node?

started with ice spear, using FP now. sometimes i switch to ice spear when i get bored, dont really see a diff actually. FP is better for close range n ice spear better for longer range.. so i just swap around =/

i use this build and at 5k ES i actually regen about 100 es/s with RF up, running tri 40% auras with hp, clarity/disc with mana
