Multistrike support gem is going to further increase gap between character sheet DPS (calculated) and effective DPS of Heavy Strike. I already see significant drop in my single-target damage output if I cant stuck rare or boss into a wall due to constant knockback and need to reposition the character before next hit. I reckon Multistrike will either fail to hit the target, aka completely waste the swing, or will force the character to reposition, which means it will lock the character in attack animation for a long time.

Time to look for different primary skill I guess.
I hope we will get a considerate increase in performance cause i have been playing on 10-20 fps the past few days on hardcore, which is clearly bad for my health and my characters health as well.

It doesn't really matter what they meant. I'm tired of waiting, I'm tired of not knowing whether the next patch will be the one, and I'm really tired of not knowing whether what they have in mind will even work. I wish a dev would at least post a general idea of what they consider the problems with melee to be and how they plan to fix them. I'm afraid that when GGG finally does get around to implementing some fixes, they're going to be either inadequate (with the next attempt coming six months later) or just completely wrongheaded because they're not communicating with players.

Fix the heavy strike bug where you knock mobs on top of walls and shit. Gets anoying, cant kill em after :/

Melee has but one problem in this game, its risk is way way way too high for its reward, its too easy to die as melee something which is further aggravated by the fact, its too hard to die as ranged given a tank build.

Generally speaking, melee builds out dps pretty much any build in a gear per gear basis, yet the margin is very small, and some dedicated builds still out dps melee without getting in the same ballpark of danger.

The answer? Give melee some (arguably) versartile gems (they finally get their LMS counterpart), alright so melee is poised to dish even higher damage. Increase the reward and keep the risk.

Excuse me if I dont sound too excited about it.
