You do realize that weapon switching is being implemented in the next patch right? This would simply be a unique that takes up all 4 of your weapon slots and allows for a cool method of switching.

Bow that takes up all four weapon slots, but splits into two swords when using the switch button
so bow transform in to 2 sword dude plz...
This would, I think, be incredibly difficult for the devs to implement as a mechanic, considering weapon-switching is not even in yet.

I don't think I'm missing the point at all. All I'm saying is, if I can find a cool Unique for a low level character - that's great. But it'd be even better if I can boost it up later on, maybe bump it up to level 50 or 60's worth of stats, to make it a viable option compared to level 90 or 100 rares, so I can make use of it.

Instead, it'll just sit in my stash so I can twink my alts. Which is a shame, because many of the early uniques have interesting effects and would be fun to build end-game characters around.

All this development time is going to be put into uniques for them to be forgotten about and tossed away after a day's worth of leveling.

Im still waiting to hear back on mine to.

Mine will be a 2 hander axe with life leech, life regen and a large boost in health. the downside being 200% more cost to cast skills.

I also asked for puncture to be added to it but im not sure that will be implamented
