i dont want to play at HC bcoz of Desycn . when it fix totaly then i go play

While they can work around some things to minimize it a bit it will NEVER been gone completely so you might as well move on to another game if that's how you really feel.

there is no reason they can't fix it 100%. why would you even play if you didn't believe it could be fixed. this problem does not exist in any game I have played.

Diablo 2 and 3 both have desync, it's called rubber banding there. It really never will be gone because that's how the client and server interact. They would have to completely redo the netcode and even then it is not going to go away completely. I mean if you want it completely gone, you're going to have to play on a local connection. Which isn't going to happen.

About the HC comment, that's bs. I play HC on a wireless connection with a 300 ping VARIANCE. I haven't died yet, not even to desync. Despite desyncing several times. It's pretty manageable if you understand why it happens and what to look for. That alone means you know where it's most likely to occur. Besides you can still use flasks while you're desync'd and unless you right click a mob that is not in your LOS(but was clickable because of desync) and you've cleared your way through. You won't be surrounded by a billion mobs randomly. Every time I've desync'd it's usually the mobs that were already on my screen since I use stop moving with every attack.

Sure it will be nice when they minimize desync, but if you're not "in-tune" with how the game is suppose to feel you weren't going to go far in HC anyway.

Well, you appear to be generalizing as far as 'most people' goes.
You appear to be confusing feedback with QQ and again generalizing.

Start at page 1, check for 1 line posts about fixing desync, try to find 1 with race experience, get back to me.

I can't (well tbh I didn't look).

But I also can't find any posts written in Swahili, using rainbow font and giving a rundown on how the latest sock-drawer-tidy went.

^Which has about as much relevance as racing.
Casually casual.

rubber banding is an EFFECT of desync.

PS. Yes GGG needs completely rework netcode (or at last this mysterious 'movement prediction system' that is source of the problems i think). Sad but true.

It's no accident most people play ranged in HC that is affected a lot less by the deadly kind of desync.

Hmm, I'd beg to differ, there.

The server can sync/port a ranged character 3 rooms ahead should they happen to 'lock-target' range attack a desynced mob without attack in place modifier.

I will have to re-evaluate some of my assumptions in that case. I've known it's an issue to ranged people but never heard it causing as frequent near death experiences.

I'd still imagine that as a melee (not GS, not LS, not any 'cheap' AoE:) you 'stick target' more than any other class though.

Kind of derailing the subject though, should probably take this desync QQ to some appropriate thread.

The point still stands, it's affecting a lot of people and it's very crippling for game enjoyment, especially in HC where you can lose weeks of progress due to no fault of your own except the fault that you didn't "know how to play in a way to avoid bugs or quirks in the game engine".

I'll try my best to retire from this thread with this issue now :)
Maybe...just maybe in the Manifesto Chris will address some of the major issues like desync and mulitboxing
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.

Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :(

Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt.

Well put.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
Looking forward to new support gems! As for the de-sync issue, I play a mara so believe me i know its a problem, but for one, this game is in BETA, so try not to get bent out of shape with these issues, and two, i have faith they will fix it when they can. After all, GGG has been putting out patches almost weekly with new uniques and spells where other companies many times the size can't manage to fix or add things from one month to the next (I'm looking at you D3).

So far, this game in beta is still better, less laggy, and more enjoyable than most complete games I have played. A little lag here and there is to be expected and at least a delay to balance something is only a couple weeks instead of the months it has taken other game developers.

Basically, when you tell a game company that lets you play their FREE game in beta that they are loosing you as a player over an issue that they said they are working on... go ahead, they won't miss your lack of support.

Any updated news on the new supporter packs that were being discussed a couple weeks back?

Specifically, if you will get Points when purchasing them. These Daily Deals have really got me wanting some more points lately but I'm not sure if I should buy a large amount or a smaller amount and wait it out for the new supporter packs, haha.

Yay!!!! cut throat testing!

I just hope if you guys do it, its more than one event just incase i cant make it.

A permanent Cut-Throat league would be fun/interesting at first, but after a week it'd devolve into the higher level players camping any new chars. The strong would get stronger, while the weak cannot do a thing..
