Chrome Extension to detect recipes in your inventory
Am I the only one who is completely opposed to this whole thing?
I thought the whole purpose of crafting was to offer another way of getting orbs besides farming. Since you have to invest a lot of time into farming, instead investing some time to organizing your loot and finding and discussing recipes seemed to me like a proper way of rewarding player for doing something. With this plugin you are not doing anything anymore. You don't even have to care or invest any time in anything anymore. " If people never cared to get involved into crafting, they should get no reward, I think that is a fair way. This plugin just makes it completely cheap and stupid. I enjoyed crafting a bit so far, but knowing that everyone else is just clicking some buttons to avoid all the work involed, took all joy away for me. Now I'd rather have no crafting at all. |

" seems so ;) or at least the first that leaves a (negative) response... I use it (most only) for checking the rare names, a thing that you cant really do manually without writing all down - especially for items of different base types (armour/shields as example) that share a partial identical name pool. I'd expect (this aspect) as desirable to have the game show you name doubles - similar to parts of an item set... Maybe some of the features will be obsolete in some time, with a better (outgame) stash management over the website (maybe along with other POE trading features) invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" version 0.43: working confirmed on Iron 19 " what exactly does this partial refresh? (it explained itself once I tried it ^^ ) I also noticed the behaviour in this "mobile mode", not really perfect (all menu options are expanded in this vertical menu, the content now is much wider than the window; needs to scroll) but viable. invited by timer @ 10.12.2011 -- deutsche Community: www.exiled.eu & ts.exiled.eu Last edited by Mr_Cee#0334 on Jul 15, 2012, 6:15:24 AM

" This is a fix to a stupid crafting mechanic. |

" I loved it. This fix made it stupid for me. Last edited by golem09#3277 on Jul 14, 2012, 12:26:21 PM

" Well to be fair while I don't like the idea of the extension (and I don't want to bother with it), some recipes are just too complex to remember and much too involved to put together. So I can see why people would want to use it. |

" Your claims are as ridiculous as saying "We should go back to the middle ages because with computers we don't even care or invest time on [insert repetitive activity] anymore". Besides using knowdledge to automate this does not equal "not caring". He even shared it with the community. Unlike cheating bots this extension doesn't play the character for you. |

" My main point was that the whole crafting of this game seemed to me like it was designed to be a hassle. Like an extra, something you do in addition to the rest of the game, but only if you get into it, now it's just a boring routine on your checklist. So far I cared half-heartedly about crafting. Now I feel like I have to abuse this too, just to keep up with other players and their currency prices. And your analogy is pretty bad. In every sense. " It's a bit like taxes. You can spend a night doing them yourself, or you can go and take it to someone who can flip through it a bit faster. Some people prefer the former, some prefer the latter. Both are accepted methods, and how one person does theirs should not affect how another does theirs. If you have fun staring at numerous stash tabs and cross-referencing recipe lists (which you should figure out yourself, otherwise you're not earning it or whatever), then go for it. If other people have fun clicking a button then cashing out, then let 'em. Last edited by mfwahwah#3129 on Jul 14, 2012, 4:51:26 PM

Ok, since no one even understood my point, I'm out. Consider yourself not bothered anymore.
