Firstly Thanks for the build. Always love to see a paladin type character working (Influenced by D2 very much lol).
Just one question atm. I linked my cyclone with mutistrike, then the problem came. My character was TOTALLY out of control. It cant move straight but it moves in random direction while cycloning. Is this a bug or what? |

I have a couple of questions of my own and would appreciate any answers. I'm playing untwinked and enjoying it, so thanks for the write-up, aimlessgun! I'm ~lvl 60 right now and can't notice my armor problem. I use gear based mostly on mods\sockets, so they have nigh zero armor value. My dr% is about 15% which quite disturbs me. I even consider switching from hatred to determination for that extra DR (is it worth it? As a side question, is it a good idea to get reduced reserved mana passives?). So, what's up with armor? Hear problem which would hopefully go away with better drops? Should I use determination? Should I get +%%armor passives (which are nearby anyway)? I already modified the build progression - got block% nodes first (sitting at ~60% total), got 2 extra endurance charges from nodes (btw, is it a good investment? I'm playing untwinked solo, so I even consider taking 6th endurance charge via bandit's reward and 7th as another passive node, with 36% increased duration). Also, should I get some nearby resistance nodes (one is +12% between blood magic and iron reflexes, another is left-most shield cluster +20% ) to free up the gear for other mods? I'm playing as defensively as I can (Endurance Cry, Warlord's Mark as the debuff, LGoH for Cyclone support) and still hard-hitting mobs (cruel Kole, all the charging mobs like rhoas or blackguards) hit for a noticeable chunk of my hp. Can AimlessGun comment on how practical this build is after the patch. A lot of his nodes got nurfed... Particularly static blows...

Would aegis aurora work with this build? If you had like ES/Armor hybrid chest, combined with the block chance from the passives the ES that you have would regenerate quickly, or is losing out on a potential 40% all res + life too much?

I am using it now, it has worked really well so far, and I am into act 3 Merciless.
I think the biggest issue I am having is the lack of armor and chaos resistance. But I think those are not issues related to this build. IGN: Shady_McGrady

I also used this build for reference. I think he concentrated too much on life for after the patch and took a different route through the middle. skipping over some maurauder passives and getting the templar's AOE, then put more into armor. I can't tell for sure, because I haven't gotten him equivalent grear yet, but this might be one my most powerful characters. I am lvl 63 wearing ~lvl 30 uniques cept for my 4L chest and still going through mobs like butter. Excited to see what he does in 5L max level gear after I am done farming docks. I didn't think there was any point in even upgrading his gear, till now, since he made it to merc docks so easily.

I am level 71 with just over 2.4K health and I feel that it is a little low with minimal life steal, just 2%. But I recently got the Lioneye's shield, so having over 50% block is pretty nice. I am having trouble with gear with high armor that can also handle all of the green sockets and the few blue ones I need for my skills.
Another issue I am having is what auras to run. Right now I will use Clarity when I solo or go in small groups but switch to Determination when there are more people. Cyclone with Elemental Proliferation and Increased area effect and I even added Mana Leech to help with the cost still leaves me scrambling for mana, thus, the use of Clarity. As for the skills, I have been getting the best chance to block nodes before finishing all of the life nodes. As for the % increased buff nodes, do they only affect aura buffs, or would they also increase buffs from equipment too? IGN: Shady_McGrady

I soloed all the way through act 1 merciless just from dropped equipment and only a few pieces of leveling gear from a previous character. I did need some help for the rest of merciless but once I got to around level 55 I had to buy some gear to get my resistances up enough. here is my gear:

I can solo blue 66 maps, kinda slow, but I still can. I think right now my weapon is what is holding me back in party play even though the Elemental Proliferation and Increased Area Effect puts 3 shock stacks on mobs before I even hit them. With Molten Shell I end up mitigating between 53-57% damage according to the tool tip display. I just don't understand how people can get armor so high, my level works but only with the 2% life leech and mostly physical damage. Overall, I think that this is still viable. I was easily able to finish cruel and with public parties I finished merciless and got gear so I can go back and solo it. IGN: Shady_McGrady
