smashing barrels animation a little too slow
Love the game so far, this is just something really minor. I've only been playing the duelist, but i noticed the animation for smashing barrels to be a little slow and awkward. =) This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

" maybe we would shoot them if we had a wand or bow equipped and when we click on a barrel our auto attack would fire instead of walking over to the barrel and kicking it. And while we are talking about the barrels when are the exploding barrels going to start actually doing damage to us? I want to see exploding barrels doing 1k+ dmg by the time we get to merciless. Luke: Sorry we have to leave you here, but it just ain't right to eat your wife's and daughter's brains. Plus you're really disgusting and I don't want to spend anymore time with you.

I agree that the barrel smashing time is too slow, especially if they are clicked on by accident while fleeing hoards of enemies.
Seriously, how long does it take to nudge a jar over? I've broken things in my life with far less effort, and I'm not stumbling around in the jungle with a full set of plate mail. |

I agree with this as well. /signed on barrel killing being too slow. I am a noob, and there will be thousands more just like me... I didn't know I could attack a barrel until I read this forum, and most noobs don't even read forums (this is a fact from WoW)

I agree that the animation for breaking barrels, kicking corpses over and smashing crates is just too slow.
Part of the reason is that after you break the object, your character continues with his/her super slow foot-stomping-leaning thing, wasting a good .5s of time. I stopped breaking barrels entirely just because of how much time it takes to break them individually. Theres no reason for an animation to be this long, and the use of it on corpses is sometimes odd: stepping down hard to knock a corpse off a spear? Why not just kick it over? Simple fix: it should have its animation length cut to about half of what it is now. Just make the animation play twice as fast and this is solved entirely. |
