I am interested how "Reduced Damage" as drawback on skills works together with "Increased damage" on gear/passives etc..
Whats the order in calculations.

For example lets say i got 100 physical damage +20 fire.
Then i apply -30% damage from multiprojectile cast ,but i got on weapon +100% increased physical damage.

So how it will be calculated in this example??

Nobody really knows at this point. We should be able to determine this on a per-skill basis once the skill tooltips are fixed to be accurate (which Mark has said he is working on at the moment)

Oh and also i would ask on one aspect of critical hits.
Does each element in weapon have it own seperate crit rate??
If i got sword with fire +ice +lighning dmg it will have 4 crit rates ??
Also does multihits got seperate crit rates for each hit ,like for example split arrow shooting 5 projectiles.

I think all the damage types are combined into one damage packet, and the crit is rolled once.
But I'm not really basing that on anything, so there's a high chance that I'm completely wrong.

As for multi-hit and AoE skills, the crit is rolled for the entire skill, not for each individual hit.
So if a skill crits, it crits everything it hits. I'll add this to the crit section.

Dual wielding
Dual wielding grants a +25% attack speed bonus.
Some skills (such as cleave and dual strike) attack with both weapons at once, while others only use the main-hand weapon.
There's also a bunch which attack with either weapon, alternating (including the standard attack, but also viper strike and several others).

Thanks for that, updated dual wielding.

Thanks for the reply.
I personaly think that each element got seperate critical rate.
Because when i crit with my split arrow it dont apply burning, freeze and shock at one time ,and i have all elements for it.
It usualy just crit with 1 element only ,while like you said whole skill crits.

Keep in mind that the duration of frozen and shocked is based on the amount of damage you do - while burning always lasts four seconds.
And if the computed duration for frozen or shocked is less than 300ms, it doesn't get applied at all. So if you are only doing low amounts of cold and lightning damage, you might only freeze and shock enemies rarely or not at all - even with a high crit rate.

Furthermore, even though crit is rolled per-skill, damage is rolled separately for each monster. So even if your split arrow crits, and hits 10 monsters, you might only shock one or two of them, depending on how the damage rolls go.

While using split arrow with both cold and fire damage, have you ever frozen (not chilled) an enemy without setting them on fire? If it was confirmed that it is possible to do this, that would prove that crit is separate for each element.

Yes. I have put enemies on fire ,but not freeze and vice versa ,sometimes on both effect.

Its most visible for me when i finish enemy with crits. Sometimes the corpses burn ,sometimes they are shattered ice ,and sometimes burning ice.
Easier to see when i go on low lvl mobs ,since there crit rate is higher and frozeen is easier to spot.

Great post.

A question.
If I got a level 10 gem with 5% quality, and another level 7 gem of same level with 13% quality... what wins?

I suppose the first one, but perhaps you received both, the level 10 effect plus de 13%.

I prefer to ask to being 100% sure.

Level up the level 7 gem and use that.

Highest level gem always gets used. If there are two gems of the same level, the one with the highest quality gets used.

A magic item can have only one prefix and one suffix, never two prefixes or two suffixes.

I'm not sure if this item got 2 prefixes or why it comes with 3 modifiers:

The base item type of this item is "Rogue's Gauntlets"
It has one prefix: "Moth's" - this mod grants a percentage increase to evasion, AND to bloc and stun recovery.
It has one suffix: "of Raiding" - this mod increases the rarity of items found.
Some items in this post are currently unavailable.
