Yes, that would be a setup for absolute maximum dmg. But i recomend bulding two eas, one for single, one for multitarget.
To kill weak enemys not need Conc aoe... but it reduces the AOE of elemtal prof massivly.
Also, to kill strong enemys not need elemetnal proof... but also not need AOE so conc aoe is here the choice.

then u can give up lightwalker or stormcast if u like

Hey thread creator, seems like a crazy good build.

Was wondering if you could answer a few questions:

1. Is there a way to make this character tanky as hell (say 4k health, good armor max resists etc.) without sacrificing too much of the crazy damage?

2. What are the main damage sources of your EA? Is it from the skills and links themselves and the passive tree or does those specific unique items also add to it?

3. How do you deal with elemental reflect?

Right at the beginning of the Templar tree there are 3 elemental nodes including Catalyse. Instead you go for lightning walker and storm cast. So I assume its just for 15% light resist and some additional shock duration?

Edit: As above mentioned, what to do with reflect? :-S

I am thinking of going Arctic Armor+EB - -200 fire damage taken from each reflected ht should go a long way towards making you survive it.

For elemtal reflect i must watch carefull. Just shoot only one multiEA inside the Reflect groub. That kills all White monsters. Than start to stick 2 multiEA in the rare, show if you alive this, than 3 arrows, and so on. As long you recodnize the reflect monster bevore you start shooting a bunch of arrows in the groub, it isnt a problem.
I even made ele reflect maps. As long as you have 80fr, its playable.

Arctic armor would add a very strong dmg reduction, because you always benefit from the -phys dmg and -fire dmg taken. But you cant use it with blood magic. And if you go a manabased build, you have very mutch problems to effort the manacosts for the arrow alone. If you put arctic armor in you need like 2000 UNRESERVED mana to play it and not permantly run ou t of mana.

The main dmg source is the high enemy resi reduction of 150%, and the mechanic of EA, that allows you to easy deal a ridicules firedmg with one hit.
Its possible to sacrifice dmg and build a tanky version, again, my way isnt the best choice for that build, its only the best possible playable dmg version of this build. Highest killspeed, mutch mf, but dies sometimes ( but still raised him to lvl 81).
You can sacrifice the whole shock part, put it in life noodes, skill iron reflexes, activate grace, wear a high evas equip, sacrifice the robe and use granite flasks. THan you have it a tanky way, but loose about 50-60% of the dmg...what still is up to 150-180 burndmg/sec + a very high impact dmg. Still way more than other builds.

WEAPON elemental dmg do not increases the dmg of the explosion, and so it not increases the lighningdmg!

What is the manacost of your EA? I think 2000 mana seems excessive, considering that you don't move while shooting (so AA only costs for maintain - regen normally used to sustain AA while movment will go straight to mana while you use the skill, that will be at least 100mana/sec).

Also - have you considered using some other bow rather then quill rain? A ticket bow with ~100 lightning damage +2 bow gems looks like a viable alternative to me.

Still I am not sure if shock duration will be long enough for the explosion. EA detonates after one sec, so you need the shock to last at least 1 sec. Between added lightning quality and Static Blows applying shock stacks should be easy - but how long will they last?

I think he meant that if u take the weapon ele nodes your lightning damage on hit (not on explosion) will be higher - thus duration will be longer.

I thought my build was pretty insane.. then i saw how u calculated with double minus resist and double shock stack...

I have come up with a build that deals 3718752,325 fire dmg over 4 seconds, didnt even bother to add duration since the dmg is fucking insane man :P and that dmg is achieveable only with 2 unique items and nothing else.. so with full gear, the dmg goes to 7012504,384 over 4 seconds, and thats just a base gear. not pro gear.. :)

EDIT : actually my main dmg with only 2 items is 5089720,924....... wtf :P
