Do you have minion lvl on your wand?
You need to squeeze 3 spectres from the gem and the last one from the tree (Death Attunement).

aah I see,now its working Im using lvl 1 empower so it need to be lvl 25 spectre I thought is only need that shield

Empower doesn't have anything to do with spectres FYI.

You get 21 levels on a corrupted spectres gem, then+3 from the shield and +1 from a minion wand, that would give you 3 specs and another from death attunement.

For maddanik, yes you would need specs for this setup, they boost your crawler damage and provide meat shield as well. I can't currently check out your setup sadly, maybe someone else can give some extra tips.
How is mapping with that build? Never played HoA before...
i hit one Lethal Pride with intimidate on hit 10726 in notable Dreamer!

It says on the gem it is level 31, but I've noticed through testing that it the damage is the exact same taking 4 shots to kill the same white boss. both with and without the amulet. I re-equipped the amulet in the map and it took 3 shots. So I think it might be effecting HoAg as well.

Also, an AG update. Last night my AG with Kingmaker and strong defensive gear got 1 shot on a t14 map via metamorph (along with me, and 24k ES). It was some kind of projectile explosion/shotgun effect I believe.

I'm not sure if I will re-invest for him, as great as it was having culling/fortify while mapping, it is not very noticeable with already strong DPS. As it is not used for harder content anyway (bosses, deep delve). I'm not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze. As of now I have just have 4 spectres (carnage apes) with minion life and added feeding frenzy for the buff effect.


Really appreciate this update. Yes I have seen even Necros complain about AG one shot by juiced up metamorphs.

Maybe the mask of the stitched demon variant is worth a try?

Four carnage chieftain with high level clarity support, minion life and feeding frenzy is super strong. I will add this to the choose the right spectres section.


For my apes I do have a max clarity (I was using clarity to 'hone' in my mana, leveling it up until I got very low on mana but could still use my skills, just so happens to be that max fits now). I also moved my tree around a little bit when I moved my letal pride jewel, I connected the area with healthy mind via a minion life node instead of from the scion area. The minion life node gives my apes 20% more mana. I may play around with the tree more, I just did it off the fly the other night.

Looking at the item, it seems it is just good for life regen mostly? I don't think it will help stop a 1 shot/shotgun effect death like what happened to me. Also, if running AG on shield and he is getting sustained damage (damage where life regen could help a lot) as the player your panic button can be to hit 'x' to swap to your alternate weapons and deactivate the AG.

Edit: Also I just saw the chest you are using, man I wish those colors fit skeletons lol. I wonder if having an item that strong with those colors could make skeleton mages actually good.

Quick question, for Lethal Pride. If I buy the killova variant and Divine it, is there a chance I lose the killova variant? If that's the case should I just buy the cheap variant and Divine it till I get kilova?

You could, but it's all still very rng. I might load up on divines later on to try optimize mine, but I would imagine having a backup pride might be good idea.

This was the method I used because it's simply much faster to divine your way to the best roll. The problem is this probably isn't the cheapest method since *YES* you can absolutely lose the Kiloava variant with every divine.

I ended up spending probably 7ex on just rolls before I hit my, admitted really darn good, roll where I got a flat +20 str and 3 +5% str nodes.

The much more practical method would be to buy a cheap variant, roll it till you hit Kiloava check and resell it before buying another one. This way you would probably break even depending on how many divines it takes to roll a Kiloava.

It is however much slower because you are dependent on people buying your Lethal Pride before you buy your next chance.

Thanks for the guide, really detailed and explanatory, great job!!

I'm on lvl 79 right now and start to understand how the build really works. Got the most necessary suggested upgrades in place, next thing on the list will be the circle of nostalgia ring to get the second aura in.

Over all I really like this for a change after all the Necro stuff, but I have to say, the damage, at least from my actual setup, isn't that great imho - especially if you want to do bossing. I have the +1 to minion skill gems-enchant and the skin of the loyal to push the gem level of the herald, but sometimes it really takes a long ass time, especially if the monster has that guardian shield around it. It took me almost 8 minutes to kill Drox on a T16 Map - or is that normal?
I don't complain about the time it takes, in fact, i like to take this game a bit slower from time to time. I'm complaining about/questioning the damage potential. So what would you recommend to fix damage issues? I'm still in leveling (sort of), so my gems are around lvl 18 with no quality. Will it get better (how much) once they are full up? Or does it take so long because of the monsterlife rework this league??
Also, is there a way to "control" the Crawlers attacks? Can I make him do that big spalsh attack more often?

Anyway, I'm still ok with the damage, maybe I'm spoiled from all the Baron shit and stupidly overpowerd Minon stuff. But still, it feels like there could go way more with this crawler thingy...
