Another beginner PoE question, but I need to learn.
I grabbed the Golden Rule Jewel because they are so cheap and plugged it in at an early level (first socket as suggested in the PoB link) since it was mentioned that it could be used while early leveling. But at this level it is almost killing me. Is the only way to counteract this with life on hit/life on kill on our items/life flasks? I don't see any nodes on the skill tree taking life leech.
Thanks!
Grab a Hyrri's Bite quiver if it is killing you. The +7 life on hit should be enough to counteract the poison. And it has attack speed too, so perfect Quiver for early leveling. Most people switch to a Thiefs Torment ring around level 30. Then you won't have any problems at all and can use another quiver.
Got it, Had the Hyrri's which wasn't cutting it, but I'll put the jewel back in once Thiefs can be equipped.
Every time I think I am done, someone provides a tip that makes this build even more unfair. Ability to use hatred, skitterbot and flesh and stone together WITHOUT helmet enchant is . . . absurd, and I just realized everyone can do this with the exception of 2R-2G-2B players. Check your POB!
1) Re-wrote the section on Skin of Royal color choices. For newer players feel free to pick something with less damage and mana reservation, makes rest of your game easier/cheaper at all stages.
You will want at least 2 Green 2 Red for Herald of Agony, Pierce, Empower and Damage On Full Life. The last two skills are variable. While Vicious Projectile and Minion Damage provides the best damage and we will use it as baseline, especially with awakened gems, it is also most expensive both in term of mana reserved and price.
Don't be afraid to pick up a different color combination for cheap while you are starting out, or grab a corrupted +2 level to socketed gems Skin of Loyal if a different color is available.
*For 2R-4G, use hypothermia if you have skitterbot to apply chilled, otherwise vile poison which will have variable damage depend on 0-10 poison stacks.
The lower mana cost means it is easier for you to activate the next aura at every stage until you have herald of agony, hatred, skitterbot and flesh and stone all activated. And yes this can be done without a super expensive helmet enchant. You need to max roll your Circle of Nostalgia to 40% reduced mana reservation and pick up every mana reservation trick in the guide if you are using 2R-3G-1B, and the requirement goes down immensely if you are using other combinations.
2) Updated mana reservation section, if you have all of this, you can do all three auras!
1)Conqueror's Efficiency
2) Two corrupted jewels with 1% mana reservation reduction, notice because of some really funky formulas, one jewel doesn't do anything.
3) Level 4 enlighten
4) Corrupted shaper's touch for +1 socketed gem level and you get level 5 enlighten equivalent
5) Well-rolled Circle of Nostalgia (40% is needed if you use 2R-3G-1B and Vicious Projectile)
6) Get Charisma on your amulet
If you have everything above with max roll 40% Circle of Nostalgia, you will be able to use Hatred, Skitter Bot, Flesh and Stone with Vicious Projectile, WITHOUT helmet enchant. A massive power spike without one of the most expensive enchants in the game today. If you are NOT using 2R-3G-1B or 2R-2G-2B, you can most likely do it without the max roll so play around with this in POB. (Thank you Mythrol1!)

I am going to start rolling my Circle of Nostalgia for a 40% roll, damage does not matter. Sand stance blinds everyone around you, I think I actually like it more than discipline especially against bosses like Aul. It gives our build a raider like RNG ceiling that we did not have before.

Just to give a bit of clarification my body is 3g2b1r and you definitely need to have 40% reduction to be able to use Flesh & Stone. I think by default people should just roll for 40% since it helps you later on anyway.
Also, I posted this earlier too but not sure if you saw hitman. Level 21 Flesh & Stone is actually a good break point to make sure and get if you have the ability to run the gem. From level 15-21 you get 11% less damage from attacks outside the aoe. But if you buy a level 21 F&S gem with our other gear it actually gives us +1 to it and at level 22 F&B bumps up to 12% less damage from attacks. The lvl 21 gems are not expensive at all either so it's a worthwhile upgrade to make for the small boost.
Just crafted this sick amulet! Bought 3 prefix base with bad suffix, took around 10 ex slams + 10 more ex for preffixes cannot be changed. In the end got lucky with T2 All res and T1 strength. Open suffix to flex dex requirements or resists

Have been thinking about switching to Charisma, but the ES loss hurts. And the most useful thing Flesh and Stone adds is the blind, which I would also have from an Abyss Jewel with the blind mod. The damage reduction from enemies further away is nice, but most often enemies that hit me are nearby.
How hard is it to roll perfect mana reserve from the Circle of Nostalgia. Divines are 10c each and variance is 30-40%. It could get costly lol.
Anytime you're talking about trying to add a 3rd aura affect to your Herald of Agony build you're talking about min max type stuff and it's typically not going to be cheap. This shouldn't be the first thing you try to do with this build.
That said, if you're worried about tossing your divines down the drain you can always just buy a 40% rolled ring. I've got one listed for 120c with really good additional rolls and you can find them even cheaper if you ignore the other rolls and just want to get the 40%. For the benefit of what being able to add Flesh & Stone does, it's worth 1ex or less if all you need to do is get the 40%.

Not sure yet if I will make the switch.
Play around the POB, the passive points you save by taking Charisma alone allows you to easily make up that energy shield else where, and it is such a flexible anointment whether you want an extra aura, more energy shield or more resistance by opening up an extra jewel socket.
Also 5% chance to blind per minion attack is not the same thing as permanent smoke cloud (actually bigger than smoke cloud), it is one of these things that gives us the RNG defense against tough delve contents.

I am going to run Uber Lab a couple of times a day with twice enchanted, getting mana reduction on any of the four skills we use will eliminate the need of a 40% Circle of Nostalgia and save me passive points.

This is not a bad idea at all. Like you said hitting mana reduction on any of our auras is a big buff for us because it allows us to spec points elsewhere. I'm doing a similar thing where I'm trying to hit a good helmet mod.
