Hey Frawst nice to see you are still at it, I did this build last summer and it was probably the most enjoyable build Ive ever played. Any thoughts on how the build has changed since last year? Trying to decide between this or cyclone shockwave.

only really been buffed since 3.16 due to how strong new masteries are for early QoL

we no longer run seismic cry (it got GGG nerfed) but we run rallying/infernal and it feels just as good as before

melee phys now has - attack speed to it kinda feels bad, we prio more QoL gems like fortify, shockwave etc now to avoid slow slams

ill be league starting this in 15 mins so you can take a look if you like!

end of day 1

bought tidebreaker cards for 2c each, 10c total. it rolled very very well

1 raw exalt drop, no divines =[

28 map completion for todays session. pushing into yellows on a 4 link tidebreaker and dps is very good

sunder is alot fast, gonna keep using it for now. dmg and clear seems good
Hey i noticed you arent running any sort of defensive shield (molten shell, etc) im newer to poe will i get away with doing the same?

Yep you can get away with quite a bit :)
end of day 2 pob

https://pastebin.com/w2C24CrM

in mid red maps (t13/14)

sunder is about 700k first hit along with 450k shockwave, so about 1.1mil dps

ran 3 defensive auras, determination, (vaal) grace, defiance banner along with blood and sand for dps

using lvl 21 vaal molten shell

big purchases today, 40% more ryslathas coil for 1 divine, used abrasive catalysts on it for 48% more

awakened brut for 40c, awakend melee phys for 40c

5 link my own tidebreaker within about 60 fuse :D

got vuln on hit wyrmsign for 20c

still no divine drops but this build is doing well in reds

I'm looking to play slams again, if you don't mind, I was just wondering what's your /deaths at? Don't look much into it, just wanna know how is it against these Archnemesis mobs and build's single target damage.
Hi! I haven't played since Legion so I picked this build up and tried it out in Standard before Kalandra. It really filled an itch I had since the original Diablo 2 where I wanted to hit people with big hammers. Hmm.

Anyways, I think that the guide really needs to emphasize how important the Resolute Technique node is. It takes getting through Acts 5-6 go from frustrating to challenging.

Also, if anyone has any advice for a very, very (re)newbie on how to deal with defense-stacked rare monsters with this build (e.g. the new to me Sentinel, Juggernaut, and Steel-Infused) I would appreciate it.

the PoB rushes RT, and you can grab war banner + versatility for cap accuracy until then

im glad you are enjoying the slam style!

ignore sentineil, juggernaut and steel infused monsters during campaign, your weapons will not be able to handle

I suspected that might be the case. I am a very casual player so thank you for dealing with non-endgame issues. Just enjoying a free weekend with this build!

THank you for your own POB updates, I've doubled my DPS by revising my own progression. I'm having a lot of fun, I used to roll Witch or Ranger.
