Crashing when loading Act 3 areas

I didn't reinstall the game.. I'll run the packchek now and see what happens.. Then I'll try to go to same place in game and if it crashes again, I'll reinstall the game..

Packcheck came out with no errors.. So what could the problem be?

I also found on another thread some guy posted this:

The same happened to me when entering marketplace..

Should I reinstall the game if this error happens again even if Packcheck said game was fine?

Ok, it worked for a while.. Then when i used waypoint to come back to Marketplace i got the
"Unable to MapViewOfFile" error which means I ran out of ram, but I have 4Gb.. I guess this error will occur again even if I reinstall the game..
I tried the fix for this error, but there's not much I can do about it..
So my question is should I waste time downloading and reinstalling the game when this error is likely to re-appear again..? (Patch checker also came out clean..)

you added -gc 2 back to the new shortcut correct? and tried running it in compatibility mode?

Hopefully that will fix your memory issue. Also make sure no other programs are open, and make sure you're using Medium textures and not High.

I heaven't run in compatibility mode, what should I select for compatibility? I'm playing on windows 7, should I select windows xp??

Edit: tried both windows xp and 7 compat. they both crashed during load of areas near marketplace in Act 3

Got new error now, happened when going from Marketplace to Battlefront area in Act 3:


Going to reinstall game, I was too lazy to wait for it to download again, but I have to..

I just hope that will fix all the errors and that I don't have a problem with my pc or ram..
Everything worked perfectly before act 3.. sigh
