Cyclone

well thats dissapointing, started up Path of Exile and no patch to fix this mess yet. I'll check back tomorrow, GGG has been amazing so far with updates and fixes.

What "mess", do you mean your cyclone doesn't go full length while others do? Maybe submit a bug report?

I mean the mess of it stopping right infront of a monster when I have clicked beyond it in the first place.

I am not the only one reporting this issue.. no idea why you are trying so hard to defend a bug as if it benefits your use of cyclone or something.

yeah, you get different bonus and malus with each configuration:
- 2H: highest raw damage, no defense
- DW: 10% IAS, weapon block
- 1H/shield: better defense and block
Can you explain what is the bonus with dual wielding vs 1H/shield? It is strictly inferior imo. You get a lot more block with the shield, and using two weapons means you will alternate between your best dps weapon and the other one, making the dps go down, so the 10% IAS is not that good because if you used just one weapon you would be using the one with more dps on every hit.

Just want to say drahken, my point is not that I am defending it, it is that this is FEEDBACK for the skill, not a bug report function. Bug forum is thataway.

So by posting it here you aren't actually giving ANY feedback about the skill, more the fact that there is a bug.

Its like going into a thread about ice spear, saying the spear never reaches its second phase no matter how far it travels, and saying its feedback, when it is clearly something broken.

One thing that is a benefit of DW (take this with a grain of salt, needs a perfect setup so I haven't actually tested it), is the fact that it hits with one weapon then the other.

SO if you had EE, and you ran one lightning sword one cold sword (stacked damage as high as possible), with high WED, you could do some very good damage since it is alternating gaurenteed to do maximum damage with EE.

That being said good luck setting up that sort of system for 2 1hers

Except that any elemental DW build would be using Anger+Wrath, and elemental damage accessories. Not using your biggest source of elemental damage for the sake of EE damage boost...you're just gimping yourself that way.
50 now on my new duelist and enjoying the shit out of this skill. I've never played a cleave/GS/LS insert whatever here so can't compare but this IS fun so far. I'm Blood magic and with just a 3L cyclone/life leech/life gain on hit I'm having a great time. Even with no damage adding supports yet it's not terrible at all. I will interject and say that clearing rooms was far and away faster on every and all of my caster builds @Shrugs@ but whatever. The ONE thing that will truly make or break this skill for me down the road is desync. All...the...time lol. Already been stated many times so nothing new there :P Lots of fun, far more than I had with incinerate. Just scary now and then haha

PS: wanted to add that as some others have stated it seems to stop short quite often. No idea why just stops dead and I have to recast it again.

Well, i do periodically get stunned while cycloning and my cast is stopped. Maybe it's just the usual crappy desync and i didn't actually got to cast the skill server side while on my client i am doing it, then when i resync i get stopped...


Anyway, another weird thing with cyclone: crit hits are decided at start of cast and if it crits, ALL hits in that cast will be crit hits. Is this intended? Would be a lot better if crit hits are decided for each independent hit.
