Is the in-game camera/ POV fixed?

just 1 word : Sacred 2
they just make a damn good work with camera rotate option/possibility (you can set up off,semi-automatic,full controlled by key) and with this they make the first real 3d feel hns.

Fixed camera is good to hear.

From what little I've seen and read since learning of this game a short time ago, the devs have had a VERY clear and solid plan for this game.

You couldn't truly "pan" around digitized sprites if you know what I mean.

I've never seen a game / genre of game transition from 2D sprites to 3D polygons while retaining a "Gritty" look.

Regardless of color, lighting or textures, the old school grit is always lost when moving from sprites to polys.

Not this time.

What sprites are you referring to? I thought the whole thing was 3D.

Which is what the devs are aiming for it seems.

I gave them praise for retaining the look while actually being 3D.

I feel the same way. Fixed angle is a good thing for games like this.

Fixed angle all the way!!!

Sacred 2 and Dungeon Siege 3 gave the possibilities of moving the camera, and really it just got annoying in frustrating to have to move the camera all the time. =)

NWN started out with a fixed angle camera but in a few patches went to a full-control camera. Before that they had a command in command prompt to release the camera. However, we won't be able to make the right judgement until we try out the game.

mythos has both a fixed and a free 3d view.
the free mode is horrible, good for an mmorpg, but it kills the diablo like ARPG feeling.
I agree with you on that one. I haven't played mythos since Flagship went down... but that free view wasn't doing it justice in any way.
