hey ghoun,

i heard that the point blank gem stacks with the passive, would this be a better choice than concentrated effect? since this wont reduce ur AOE, and increased the dmg by a comparable amount? u lose atk speed, but it is gained back after u level point blank and with % u get the dmg increase also, using this with increase aoe, u get a huge range

I dont think it stacks with the point blank passive.
If it does, i would immediately switch.
time to find outttt
mm with crits its so hard to see the dmg.. why odnt they have actual numbers for us to see
tested extesnively, does not stack!

Does this work with roa build?

Its a pretty nice elemental bow, so it will probably work anyways.
Only question is, if added fire + blackgleam is the best configuration with that bow.
There might be a better configuration, but it will probably still be pretty good even with added fire + blackgleam.
I just added this to my char with Rain of Arrows and Iron Reflexes:

Im reaching around 16k armor with this, without flasks nor charges.

(btw, its on sell here: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/289468)

Not that great a chest to be honest.
An item without life is rather useless, and that chest doesn´t even have that much evasion to begin with.
The life mod is a prefix, and since it is missing, getting high evasion is much easier (since the 2 defensive mods are prefixes also).
The chest should either have a ton of life and resistances, or a ton of evasion and resistances (2000+ evasion on a piece without life is still not that great).
The best piece is obviously if you get all 6 perfect affixes, life, double defense, triple resistance, which will probably cost 100 exalteds if the mods are high in value.
Yeah, well, and I can tie a cat to my dick as well.

Thinking about a perfect item is just silly. This has 6L, it gets my dps going, and makes me have a passive 65% damage reduction in merciless.

I can live with that. And my resists are all 70%+, so...really don't need much more. I'll grant you the Life bonus issue, but whatever, I'm already on 4K, so fuck it.

It does not grant a 65% damage reduction against hard hitting targets.
You might wanna read up on how armor works in this game in the mechanics section.
Against an enemy that hits for 2500 (unreduced), the damage reduction is 34% (with 16k armor).
There are enemies that deal even more than that.
Inside of maps, if you get a certain combination of affixes, enemies can easily deal 4k+ hits rather easily. Against a 4k hit, the damage reduction is down to 25% (with 16k armor).
Some enemy types inside of high level maps (like champion rhoa chargers) can hit for even more than that (vulnerability curse, increased monster dmg, substantially more damage, or any combination of those, and you could get hit for 6k).
Very hard hitting targets destroy your armor unless you have a ton of it.

Was just telling you the facts, nothing more, nothing less.
You can easily sell it since it has 6L, but you will just get the 6L price for it, and then the new owner might just start chaosing it. Thats how i would do it anyways.
