You are a genuinely good guy. I really love the style of this build and it's the first build I'm genuinely excited to try this league. I've already leveled 4 other characters to 90+, but I haven't enjoyed any of them yet. I'm hoping this build keeps me interested and that I can get it as tanky as yours is. I am currently level 40 with this build and I am trying to pick up all of the gear before I hit level 70. Can you list priority of what order you would pick up gear and where you would make sacrifices until you had currency for better? Thanks again for the great build idea.

why added cold over added lightning?

What is the priority of the gems in chest ? I have a 5L Carcass, but not sure which of "Added Cold Damage - Hypothermia - Lightning Penetratino - Controlled Destruction - Concentrated Effect" to drop.

For the chance to freeze ontop of shock which has synergy with hypothermia. Higher damage over lightning in PoB when ticked chilled enemies.

Few questions:
-what about with starting passives? 30% spell damage over 12% cast speed seems isnt that great?
- Have you tried ring of brotherhood for shock/chill/freeze synergy?
- for boss fights, get rid of cold damage/hypothermia, get ring with inbuilt equilibrium for extra -50 lightning resistance?

Started playing this in ssf a few days ago, and an doing yellow maps now with some ease with a tabula.

Could you let me know how young of that sceptre? Was it a incursion drop? I can't see how younger the massive +% lightning damage....?

I basically started a Witch (into Elementalist) just for this build.
Now that I am level 70 I wanted to start gearing up, but every single item is so expensieve. Any tips on how to aquire cheap gear? I havent played PoE all that much, and most of the crafting is still somewhat beyond me

This build is awesome, thank you for putting it together. Kinda like the poster above I had bounced around between builds this league but couldn't find one that fit right, this one is my Goldilocks build though. It's got it all. Clear speed, boss damage, survivability, and fairly cheap.

Im gearing now and at the guide you saying:
Weapon - Prior to my current weapon I was using an Incursion Sceptre with "Of Topotante's" Modifier. Giving (75–79)% increased Lightning Damage
Adds (1–4) to (53–56) Lightning Damage to Spells as a single Affix - you can afterwards craft Adds (3–9) to (106–112) Lightning Damage to Spells from the Crafting Bench. When crafting a weapon, you want to make sure it has either Attack Speed. This helps with Shield Charging. Aim as high as possible.
I have this one:
Soul Grinder
Sambar Sceptre
75% increased Lightning Damage
Adds 11 to 22 Cold Damage to Spells
Adds 1 to 54 Lightning Damage to Spells
24% increased Attack Speed
And i cant craft second flat lightning cuz 'already have another mod of this type'
Im bad at crafting things so cant get what am i missing.

Super good build so far!
Managed to get to 92 (2nd char ever to reach that level) and cleared everything so far. Red Elder, Shaper, Red Lich.

But Uber Elder just completely wrecks me :(
Would you take a look at my char and give some recommendations.
Obvious upgrade would be a stronger helmet.
