I dont understand the shield choice. whynot a rare shield with some extra spell and chaos dmg mod. is it just the +2 brand recall to help map clear speed? what about for bossing?

Following this build and it rocks, currently im using a 5L carcass jack, but just got luck end droped an inpulsa broken heart, is it good for this build?

Thinking of rolling this, anyone using it in delve? How deep have you taken it? I have about 10 ex to invest and would like to make this my first uber elder kill. Any suggestions on must have purchases first?

Does Cast speed increase the hit rate of Storm Brand or Lightning Spire Trap or just the animation of throwing?

It affects how many hits Storm Brand does yes and it affects Lightning Spire Traps hits per second. So it's beneficial for both skills

Would it be possible to do this build as CI\Crit\Occultist or will I gimp myself? The idea is to rely on energy shield recharge with bated breath and ring enchants (to reduce the recharge start time).

Highly recommended to NOT run this as anything except Elementalist - you lose so much damage, and you can't use Hypothermia. We already have ample defenses using Acrobatics. It'd really strain gearing as well as you'd need ES on everything.

Instead of lightning spire trap, have you considered vaal storm call 4-link instead for single target? with controlled dest, lightning pen, less duration.

Vaal Storm Call is not reliable against Uber Elder and will kill you against Uber Atziri Mirror phase. Also I don't know what 6L you'd get for Vaal Storm Call. I only use it for bosses so, not recommended as you need Souls - especially in the Uber Elder fight where you need to use it multiple times

Faster Clear speed pretty much with a damage buffer. A Rare shield will definitely give more damage but at that point you might as well roll Double Sceptre for around 30% more damage. This build has enough damage, we want survivability. This build is a balanced build, meant to do every content reliably. From speed, to damage, to defense. That is the crux of this build and you can't clear Fast if you're gated by Brand Recalls cooldown, our shield bypasses that.

Your choice - I think Carcass is better than Inpulsas but it's not that big of a deal. But Loreweave is better than Carcass. I would sell the Inpulsas. Inpulsas works well but again, it's mostly prefence.

I'm at depth 380 but no Sulphite :( - Yeah get the Enchant and get a 6L loreweave/Carcass Jack and a good sceptre. PM me in game if you need gearing help and I can help you buy gear. Also try and get good gloves with the right stats.

Anyone try both? Is the added dps and aoe of carcass noticeable enough to forego the 80%res?

Edit: looks like people are getting wise to faster casting/trap and mine for LS. Grabbed for 50c, everything else over an ex!

This build is amazing. I just no death killed shaper with 5L carcass jack.
It's not very powerful at 1:1 battle but very tanky so easy to control it.
By the way what is the most important option to damage scaling?
My character seem to little weak.
