MORE BLOOD

I agree that some scenes look a bit empty. There could be piles of corpses in prison or torture chambers with gruesome details, sacrificial chambers in church, heaps of decomposing bodies in swamps, and something for the caves, lots of crunched bones from behemoths, corpses wrapped in spidersilk and so on. But generally game doesn't have creepy feeling cause it doesn't have story yet, grim voice narrating quests, and most importantly music and ambient sounds. In cave I would like to hear water droplets, distant growls with tube effects, wind on the ledge. Lots of baby cries and woman screams in dungeons or sounds of torture. But to put that inside, you need scenes above mentioned. And I hope there will be some solution for seeing monsters outside your visibility range and through the walls. Light radius should be less bright also. They could put another gem for light. What you don't see you feel as suspense.

Great great point, i didn't see any other person than you points out this issue. And no one seems surprised why this still is not implemented.
Especially in Diablo I, before entering to a room, you would see the presence aura of a unique monster pacing if ever exist. This was dramatically streching the tension of a player to even further. You start to prey on your mind, try to figure out what a monster will come out of that door, and this makes you sit on thorns.

I'm still impressed by these words spoken out, so blood freezing and dreadful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1bsTHzpcSY&feature=related
"This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"
PERK Bloody-mess + Path Of Exile = Mmmmmmm jummy
Cant have to much Junk in your Stash
My take on gore and blood is one of restraint. Think about Diablo. Certain rooms were covered in blood to indicate a moment you might want to clench your buttocks to prevent shitting yourself. The occasional gore was scattered around, but mostly, rooms like the Butcher's were the reserved gorefests.

I think if you drop gore everywhere, it loses it's weight as an effective scare tactic or tension builder. Eventually it becomes parody and the audience becomes desensitized, thus it's not taken seriously.

Yeay, and even big yeay for some small gore update. Would be nice to see some blood splatters after big fight with large group of mobs, few more blood effect while attacking them, but also I would not want to see gore everywhere on maps, just like ArcieM say, it should be used in environment only in places that need to indicate coming horror.
(that's from one thread I make on suggestions I thought this subject belong there I didnt see this thread before anyway I decide to copy/paste it here to contibute with my ideas also.

PS have in mind I didn't read anything yet in case some1 thought the same things with me.)

I believe that devs can do much more to enhance our experience regarding visuals, animation, scripted events & any type of eye Kandy in general.
Here some things I would like to see in the future that I truly believe will make our experience much more enjoyable & interesting:

1)Scripted events on last bosses on every dungeon a sudden appearance if u like where the boss catch u literally off-guard/unprepared, some appropriate sound would help greatly to increase the "scare" factor.

2)Special dmg animations for all type of critical attacks physical/magical & different death animation when the last hit is critical, for example u can make the body melt completely and leave just some internal organs behind or u can make it to explode and body parts spread everywhere around.

3)I dont know if this idea is possible but it would be very cool if the devs can do that, I would like to see all this corpses we find on map die in front of our eyes in real time for example in Act 2 when we fight out of dungeons we fight humans/bandits with axes, spears & bows what if those bandits kill all those mans & woman's when we reach close enough until some scripted event triggers & an axe land on some1's head or some spear pierce some1's belly or some arrow pass through some1's neck this will be AWESOME! :D

4)Some other awesome idea just pass through my head, how about to put some recorded voices of crazy/insane words from ghosts/long dead ppl who die in those places we explore and hear it every now & then on top of the music? o.o now that I think about it this sound too EPIC! :P

5)Unique death animations for players when we die from bosses! at lower difficulties we might never see that but as our lvl & difficulty increase more & more it will happen eventually so it will be awesome if the boss give u the final hit in a very gruesome way, for example slice u in 2 pieces, cut of your head, pierce u in the belly and splash all your internal organs in the floor, melt u in the floor with some very heavy hit etc u get the point ;)

If I think anything else I will edit my thread but the general idea is that I want to see more "BLOOD" more "HORROR" more "GORE" more "PSYCHO" more "SCARY" things! all that & more! make my blood freeze as I explore a dungeon hundreds of meter deep inside the earth, make some outdoor map at night with light radius like in the dungeons where mobs come at u in surprising ways a very good example that comes to my mind is from one trailer from PoE where 1 huge spider appear from nowhere and grabs the player it was very nice but unfortunately I didnt see any such scene in the game yet :/

Anyway tell me what u think about my suggestions leave your comments & suggestions/ideas to make the game as dark & scary as possible ;)

6)I get a new idea as I was sleeping lol, make a dark map (not night, evening to night) where is raining very hard and thunder fall with a very strong sound and illuminate everything and when that happen scary figures appear around us this will be just for the scares, but now that I think better it could have something real appear also from time to time that way u wont know when that things u see is there just to scare u or to kill u :P

7)he and another idea just pop in my head what GGG did with the spiders in the dungeons where they climb up from the depths of the dungeon was very well made I like it very much, what if we get a scene with a bloody fountain where zombies rise from inside very creepy dont u think? ;) I would like to see something like that.

My same thougths too.
More blood and drama, maybe some more events like "The Eating" right at the start of game.
A man comming out of the prison and gets eaten alive.

EPIC!

+1 that's a fantastic idea. Walking in on Brutus eating some people, or the Deep Dweller gnawing on a leg.

More came to my mind; would like to see bubbling, evaporating cauldrons with cooked people lying inside, blood fountains are poured down from sculptures to rivers; therefore merged parts of water could be reddish.

Some fallens are skewered, and being cooked in campfires in front of some tents..

Edit: More body parts all over the places, rather than only one piece body lying on ground.

I wonder, if you kick a dismembered arm, maybe you could get a ring, haha. :)
I agree overall that the game could use more blood and gore. However, I fount that when I hit enemies, particularly humans, they leave a delicious splatter on the ground. And since I am a ranger, that means a trail of blood as they shamble towards me. A couple of times once I've slaughters people I go back and walk around the bodies because the blood left is SO GORGEOUS. It can at times be a little shiny (like when I am in a shaded forest) but when you look close, the blood itself really looks top notch.
More blood and scary things please!!!!

PoE isn't a game for kids dammmmmit! Gimme some dark red juice already <3
