" I'm sorry, but I do not agree with you on tremor rod; namely if you play Sabo. It's not good once you get Demolitions Specialist. You can lay traps fast than the time it takes to "re-arm" the trap for the 2nd detonation. The 7 links you mention is misleading. It's has "35% less Mine Damage" and a lvl 10 Remote Mine Support which is 39% more damage, this effectively makes it a wash, yet you're still penalized with the mana cost of having the gem. In the end you're better off goign with a +3 staff or 1h and shield for much better stats. Traps also have a lot of jewels some of which synergize with the uniques. Also by design traps are much more quicker playstyle "hit and run" (1 cast: you throw that's it) so you spend less time in harms way all while putting out effective damage. Where as mines are "build up and wait" (2 casts/different buttons: lay and detonate). With traps you can easily have different flavors of traps to help you out either defensively or offensively you cannot effectively do the same with pure mines and you have less buttons to do 1 of which also triggers ALL mines. So yeah I think traps are in a better place than mines atm. Last you kinda miss the point of there being only 1 unique. That is the uniques make the builds more fun and out of the box to play. Move 3.0 a week forward to this friday or something

I'm sure the guy that designed the belt was with 2.6 in mind. Never did, he/she, probably imagine that vaal pact would no longer work with ES.
That belt with the 3.0 changes is just bad. GGG should give the person that designed that unique another pass at it. It's not their fault that the balance changes fucked their item. I would never buy a $2500 unique from GGG, no matter how rich I was, if the item is neutered before it is even released by undisclosed "balance changes". This damn game has been in beta for damn near 5 years now. Stop changing fucking fundamental mechanics that garbo tier a ton of uniques designed under a different "version" of the game. If you are going to do it, at least have the courtesy to balance those uniques at the same fucking time. This "small dev studio" shit isn't going to fly anymore, mates. |

" Nah just your average redditor, he said it alone is bringing hybrid back in 3.0 hahaha |

" Well you're allowed to be wrong. And by wrong, I don't mean as an opinion, I mean as a measurable fact(which applies to Tremor Rod specifically as well). More players play mine builds than trap(and of those, the majority use tremor rod). Mine builds have faster map clearing and faster boss killing than traps. Mines have higher DPS potential. These are all objective, measurable statistics that show mines are statistically better even before you factor in the finickiness of traps(which forces you to do things like sunblast and take awful jewels). As for uniques, I don't know how many times I can explain in different ways, that doesn't matter. Let's try this. Summon Skeletons. It has 5 nodes in the tree, 6 unique items(including 2 jewels), and a unique crafting mod, all of which apply specifically and only to 'skeletons.' Compare that to SRS which has...ashcaller...kind of. According to your logic: "SRS needs help, and Skeletons are fine." But if you were to say that with a straight face, you'd be laughed at nonstop(and rightly so). If the base mechanic is bad, and the uniques are all meh, it doesn't matter how many of them you add. Things like Cheap Construction are AWFUL but NEED to be taken(if not Sab) because traps are so inherently bad. This makes them worse, not better. They basically say "If you're a trap build, you get -2 jewel slots and half a belt just to get up to par with everything else" Other problems with your post include the fact that you can lay+trigger a mine faster than you can throw a trap assuming equal stats. So they actually spend less time in danger(again, assuming you have a tremor rod with 60% faster mine laying speed...which is part of why EVERYONE uses it and why you seem to feel mines are bad). The mine laying speed alone means you place over twice as many mines(before even factoring in the double trigger), which far offsets the 'less' damage as you're effectively getting a 60% more multiplier on top of everything else. The fact that mines arm fast enough that you can trigger them twice faster than you can lay them(so you're wrong again). Meaning you literally get 6 times as many mine triggers with a tremor rod than you do without. And I could go on...but either this is enough to make you think, or you're too stubborn to listen in which case it's pointless to keep trying. As for more uniques being more "out of the box"...that's backwards. Uniques that have keywords like that are very in the box. Something that says "this only works with X" are very narrow. Uniques that actually change your playstyle wouldn't have keywords like that. Things like Sire of Shards. It's not trap/mine specific, but it SIGNIFICANTLY changes how they function. Kitava's Thirst, Scold's Bridle, etc. These are uniques that change playstyles. Not "Traps do X% more damage" Last edited by NessOnett8#3374 on Jul 25, 2017, 5:35:09 PM

What PoE needs mostly: more junk uniques! Yay so much fun vendor more crap.

Meeeh. I am not going to use any of those items. Finally an additional item specific for trap builds. Happy with that though.
Furthermore, I notice a lot people whining and faceshitting with every update on GGG. What GGG have accomplished so far is outstanding and people should cherish and appreciate this game is still free to play. Don't forget where they're coming from and have faith in them.
