(Feb 12) HC Ladder Unique Race

Nice to see another 3h ladder race, really enjoyed the last one. Unfortunatly I cant compete because my right wrist is fractured and playing fast with one hand (left) isnt a real option.

Is this the correct url?
http://www.twitch.tv/imdisappoint

Also, if it is possible, recording it would be epic!

Yes, that link is correct. Nice to see some other TL fans here.

Twitch should automatically record the video. However, I'll do some testing to see if recording locally will affect game and/or stream performance. If it doesn't and I don't die shamefully, I'll put up a copy on a video sharing site.

24 hours before the race I'm going to test my stream quality by running through Act 1 with one or two characters as I would during an actual event. Everyone is welcome to watch!
And as it is such so also as such is it unto you
IMDisappoint what do you use to stream? Is there a free alternative to an xsplit liscense which will do the trick for POE? I tried the free xsplit beta to capture a screen region but it was too laggy at 1920x1200.

I'm guessing Fraps -> Youtube is going to be the best bet, rather than streaming, but 3 hours worth of video..? http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=71673

edit: I asked a couple people running streams and it seems the free version of xsplit in screen region capture mode works alright.

XSplit is the easiest way to get started to stream, and definitely the one I'd recommend you try first.

Here is a recently written guide on Team Liquid about the kind of computer you would likely need to stream at 720p or higher as well as how to set XSplit up.

I'm curious to see if the changes to Shock Nova will impact the ability of witches to get ahead in the mid stages of the rush...

I'm predicting a duellist will be the overall winner again...

I missed the last race so I am really looking forward to this one.

I have a question though which I have not been able to find the answer to.

My current hard core character has a lot of items in her stash. Will these be locked during the race or can/should I use these items during the race?

You will not be able to use your stash items. You create a new character in a new league, so you start with an empty stash. 3 identity scrolls.

I'm definitely not running another duelist.
