Donald Trump and US politics

"[...] * TRUMP’S AGENDA IS MOVING RIGHT ALONG: Paul Krugman reminds us that while Trump is tweeting and the Republicans are blowing it on health care, Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt is quietly gutting regulation after regulation:

Pruitt can do a lot of harm without changing the law. He can, for example, reverse the ban on a pesticide that the E.P.A.’s own scientists say may damage children’s nervous systems. Or he can move to scrap a rule that would limit heavy-metal contamination from power-plant wastewater. And he can cripple enforcement of the rules he doesn’t undo simply by working with Trump to starve his own agency of personnel and funds. …When it comes to environmental policy, Trump will definitely change America — and his legacy will literally be toxic.

One danger to keep in mind is that The Trump Show — the tweets, the attacks on the press, the meltdowns at rallies — will keep distracting us from the truly awful policy that’s unfolding under the radar.[...]"

GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
This is one year old and Trumpers still behave like the last guy in this video :-)

Some will probably never change their minds because they would literally have to do that.

Gotta hand it to the anti-Trumpers; their shitposting has improved dramatically. Triggered?

That video shows not how Trump is stupid, but how he won. Trump's actual message was centrist, devoid of sexism or homophobia... and the sexists and homophobes on the right were going to vote for him anyway. If I ever saw a video of a Democrat saying centrist things, and some dude was interviewing hardcore Dems wearing campaign swag at rallies who didn't understand the candidate's message, I'd interpret that as the Republican being in deep trouble — the Democrat would be managing to play for the undecideds without alienating the base.

So yes: hilarious video is hilarious.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

lol

Even some stupid Trumpers are - with a little help - smart enough to notice it is not. But some are not. They just see the surface, that you are presenting here in an attempt to sell that to other idiots. Like Trump did. You admire that immoral bastard ?

Trump is as much centrist as European far right politicians.
Trump ran on a centrist platform, but he also took a few Nationalist positions, and that's why the hard right voted for him. That and the right is tired of voting for neoconservative cucks. The only other option was that horror hag, Clinton. But yeah, the right should have voted for Clinton over Trump, anyway. LOL.

Trump has already given more to his base, politically, than any other Republican President in recent history.

Also, last election was very much about the economy as well, and the economy is booming now. And the left doesn't want to talk about the economy. B.....bu......but! Trump is a racist! HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!

Since shortly after Trump took office. Anyone paying attention knows the economy in the US is better than it's been in 17 years.

Lots of "now hiring" signs up at places I haven't seen hiring signs up at before. The jobs section of the newspaper is thicker than I've seen in recent memory.

As if Trump has anything to do with where the economy is currently (good or bad). It will take a few years for the true effects to show.
