Donald Trump and US politics

This remind me of that particular moment:

And to put that in context, he did that in front of a very conservative crowd DURING the elections.

First, he's the first candidate to the USA presidential election to ever do that
Second, he talked about gay rights in front of a conservative crowd.

He was actually highly criticized during the Republican elections for having a very light and moderate stance on issues such as gay marriage.

I won't say he's the super pro LGBT man of the year, but he still defended the LGBT community in front of a very religious conservative crowd, even if it would cost him a few point in the republican elections.
The only LGBT-involved Trump action to date was reversing Obama's "transgender student bathroom" executive order.

The order itself was on somewhat shaky ground due to lawsuits from 13(?) states challenging it, and meanwhile some 15 other states have declared "use whatever bathroom you fucking want" legal at the state-level.

I saw it as more of a state's rights thing (and/or just generally being spiteful toward Obama). Agreed that Pence has a hate-boner for the gays, but I don't think it's part of Trump's agenda at all.

I think his position on the transgender bathroom is pretty open and not anti LGBT like many try to claim.

his words were: "People should go to the bathroom they feel is the most appropriate for them and their needs."

I don't think it's a harmful statement to have, on contrary it's the opposite of seggregating people (transexual in this situation) it's a very inclusive statement.

like it was stated earlier his only LGBT related action was reversing Obama's "transgender student bathroom" executive order.

Which I think is not bad, I've asked my friend who is a transgender and he doesn't wants any special transgender bathroom, he just want to be treated like other men and pee with them.

Again I'm not saying he's the super pro defender of the LGBT community, but he's not throwing them over the rooftop of a building to satisfy his religious beliefs.

edit: and btw just for informing any woman who would wants to become a man, there are many conventions and laws in the men's room.

Thats what the Obama guidance did...Thx to Trump its back to the states for students who want to pee in peace in the correct facility.

Also, the Gavin Grimm case went to the supreme court only to be sent back down to a lower court. Surely because of Trump and his cronies.
Thing is, a lot of people in the US think this sort of thing SHOULD be decided by states rather than the feds. It is all part of the endless fight over states rights vs federal.

Hey, when I was in Afghan I saw some of the IEDs those guys made, it was like they walked into Dollar Tree or a thrift store with $20 in their pocket, like some kind of jihadi Macklemore, and walked out with a bomb or two. They've got a ton of MacGuyvers; they are smart as fuck. Never underestimate the Islamic guerilla fighter.

Way smarter than our generals. Taliban is back in control of half country and will take it all back. West cant win wars because they don't fight by killing enemy and supporters until they quit even if that means all . Basically like WW2 and before. Do you think USA solider had to worry about Japanese or German IEDs during occupation? Naw because we convinced them annihilation awaits. Anyway it's all a waste of material men money. Should never go to war with current values. Wont win. But thats not what wars about. It's not meant to win. It's made to get deep state contractors rich. TPTB would stay in Afghanistan 500 years if we could. Nice income stream off blood of US solider and sweat of tax payer.
