Donald Trump and US politics

Instead of circle jerking about Trump and how stupid 'Muricans are, read Vhlad's post.

Git R Dun!
I for one can't wait to put all my trust in honest and accountable Chinese government data.

INDC met by 2030? China? Trust? Transparency? Sign me up, don't say I'm naive.
Let's check the the two biggest polluters (source):

China - Has 23.75% share of greenhouse gas emissions
USA - has 12.10% share of greenhouse gas emissions

...and what they pledged to achieve according to Paris agreement:

China - A peak in carbon dioxide emissions by 2030... and to cut emissions per unit of GDP by 60-65% of 2005 levels by 2030
USA - 26-28% domestic reduction in greenhouse gases by 2025 compared to 2005

So, if I understand this correctly, the biggest polluter China is allowed to continue increasing their carbon dioxide emissions that will hopefully peak in 2030 and only then revert the process, while USA has to start reducing CO2 emissions now?

Moreover the Chinese pledge is a function of their GDP, while US & EU is flat? So china can continue producing cheap toxic knockoffs and sell them to us cheaper than we can sell our highly green, but also highly taxed and thus uncompetitive technological wonders?

When Hillary loses CNN, you know it's really over:

"
CNN Panel Mocks Hillary Clinton, “A Lot Of [Democrats] Would Prefer To Have Her Fade Away…”

CNN panel host John King mocked Hillary: “You don’t understand: The Russians cloaked Wisconsin, so she couldn’t find it on a map to get there and campaign there."

Clinton fatigue. The new thing. =^[.]^=

Holy shit that's good.

the Agreement is far from the best solution. Agreed. Absolutely.

And that'd be a good, acceptable reason to withdraw from it, especially if it could be proven on a global scale instead of on an off-topic forum for a video game.

But feeling that the Paris accord isn't doing enough for the environment is not why Trump withdrew America from it. He withdrew because fuck the environment, we want moneys.
First, the point isn't that Paris Accord doesn't do enough for the environment. If your friend is having problems with his girlfriend and tries to solve this by sending $200 to a televangelist, the problem isn't that your friend didn't do enough, it is that what he's doing is fucking stupid (and making corrupt assholes richer).

Second, agreeing on the course of action is always more important than agreeing on rationale. The right move is the right move.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

CO2 per capita is what you should look at for obvious reasons. Also many European countries and the US became rich and influential by burning coal. They have to do more. The average standard of life in China is much lower.

The treaty is an international compromise, not some rich kid´s dream.

Vhlad´s post tells me it´s important to break with the growth ideology. Agreed. More regulations and control on companies and banks. Agreed.

Trump is doing the opposite. Deregulation + raw capitalism.
