Donald Trump and US politics
"At the time of Comey's firing, Trump was NOT being investigated by the FBI. There was no investigation. That there was an investigation at all was a "made up story." When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

Dunno how it can be obstruction of justice if he's not even under investigation.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

Comey meets with Trump Trump meets with Comey and asks him to drop the investigation into Flynn, according to a memo of the encounter written by Comey and first reported May 16 by the New York Times. “I hope you can let this go,” Trump reportedly said to his FBI director. ------ MARCH 20 Investigation confirmed Comey confirms the FBI is investigating a possible connection between the Trump campaign and Russia. ------ APRIL 11 Carter Page under investigation The FBI obtains court permission to monitor the communications of Trump campaign advisor Carter Page since last summer, according to a Washington Post report. The U.S. believed he was acting as a Russian agent. ------ APRIL 27 Pentagon investigation The Pentagon inspector general is investigating whether Flynn violated military rules by accepting foreign payments from Russia and Turkey, which is disclosed by a House committee. According to documents released, Flynn was warned in 2014, when he was retiring from the military, not to accept payments from foreign governments without advance approval from the Pentagon. Sauce: LA Times Timeline Flynn is under investigation, Carter Page is under investigation, the Trump campaign is under investigation, Trump allegedly said to Comey "I hope you can let this go" when talking about Flynn's investigation, and then later on he fired Comey. If this is not obstruction of justice because Trump isn't the prime suspect of an investigation that he might very well be involved, then I give up. It's like a CEO that pull strings to fire someone investigating his company for money laundering. (Also, if it's proven that Comey's memo is real, he wouldn't need to be the prime suspect of the investigation to be considered obstruction of justice.) |

"1. There were numerous, bipartisan reasons to fire Comey. Read Rod Rosenstein's memo on the topic. (Rosenstein's salty that Trump made the memo public; he intended it to remain internal.) 2. Firing Comey is not firing the FBI. They're a massive organization, personnel changes don't impact projects like that. It didn't kill any investigations, therefore, it was not obstruction of justice to fire Comey. (Firing a Special Prosecutor a la Nixon is different.) 3. If the Comey memo is proved real, it means Comey claimed at some point that Trump said certain things. This isn't the same as proving Trump said certain things. What it would do is either compel Comey to testify on the matter, or perhaps be used as evidence in substitution of testimony. If Trump in fact asked Comey to lay off of Flynn, that would be obstruction. Bill Clinton is probably guilty of obstruction of justice. Loretta Lynch on the tarmac. Oh, and Lewinsky too, back in the day. 4. Flynn was paid by a corporation. The case against Flynn would need to show that this corporation was a shell company of the Turkish government AND that Flynn knew this and took the money anyway. I do think he's guilty, but going after him would be more difficult than prosecuting someone for storage of large amounts of classified information on a private email server, meaning one would need to fire Comey first. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. " Yeah... let's just pretend Trump didn't say what he did before. After all, it's not what Trump says that matters, is what is in his heart <3 " Then he should have just fired Comey and replaced him with Devin Nunes, am I right? It's not like would change anything right? " Without the "Tapes" that Trump said he might have on one of his tweets, it becomes a matter of "He said one thing, the other said another", it becomes a matter of credibility then... But hey, even if everything on the memos happened, Trump wouldn't ask everyone to leave the room to say something shady to Comey right? I bet they were talking about silly stuff, like crowd sizes, and how hard is for a republican to win the electoral college... " Oh, thanks, if some day I find myself in need to do some research I might google these. " Well, that's what investigations are there for right? To determine things that we don't know if happened right? -------- " I doubt that a little. I don't think he is smart at all, but I think he is smart enough to know that being president sucks, I mean, he just needs to google the number of presidents that have been shot to see that it can be a bad idea. The only way I see him doing that because of his ego is if all that jokes that people made about him never being able to be president really got under his skin... Yeah... I think you are right on this one D; -------- ![]() Sauce: foreignpolicy.com Vox made a short video explaining why sharing secrets among your allies is not so simple: Video here -------- What I think it's funny, it's that few months ago we were talking about if Trump would last 4 or 8 years, Now we see things like this: ![]() It has been 4 months guys... 4 months since he has been elected...

Meanwhile, NYT says Democrats may have bitten off more than they can chew.
(n.b. yeah yeah, I know that the NYT has an extreme pro-Trump bias*) If only they had waited for actual evidence before turning the dial up to 11?... It just feels like everyone wants to "be a part of history" nowadays. I guess for a generation of people that feel impotent in the face of the 2008 bank bailouts, rising costs and the weakening of the USD, anything is better than just sitting around crying.

" what I think is funny is, the MSM has been pushing the Russian thing for over a year already claiming they had all sort of proof, yet nothing came out. What I think is funny is, people have been asking for Obama to used the martial law to prevent trump to become president.... they did that because they are against Fascism.... What I find funny is people are asking for that impeachment since day one yet know nothing about it. |
