Actually no, it doesnt work that way because even with the NHS, we still have private health care too. Rich people can have private coverage from some place like BUPA, poor people can bleed all over the ER at the NHS. ^ Thats muuuuch better than what we have :/ Private was illegal. We have some private clinics but all hospitals are public so you're still screwed. Id still prefer a free market. Lower prices for all. Better service. Competitive care. So you cant just be bleeding all over the place and pay them to fix you, still gotta use the NHS if you dont have cover. So basically if youre rich, get that cover. And thats a shit thing for me because the NHS / GPs flat out refuse dopamine meds for anyone without ADHD / Narcolepsy / Parkinsons. Health insurance is only "free" if you're a kid or you have no job. Everyone else has to pay up quite a bit.
