I moved this thread to beta general, however it should really be appended to the appropriate skill thread.

An interesting question, for more than one reason. First, the damage done from blood rage is supposed to be chaos damage, which inoculation obviously makes you immune to. And if that doesn't work, what's 4% of 1 and which way do you round it in this particular case?
It might be worth a look, especially since chaos inoculation is supposedly going to be a little less complication-ridden in 0.9.6. Urist McDwarfy has been happy lately. He admired an exceptional ARPG recently. He took joy in slaughter lately. He has been attacked by the dead recently.

Luckily, I had a character left on legacy that I hadn't redistributed points to yet. I'm not sure for exactly which reason, but it definitely works.
I used blood rage on my 48 templar with my recently acquired chaos inoculation, and it failed to kill me instantly, or even at all. The buff showed up like usual, and when I killed a few things, I gained charges. Fascinating. Possibly a good idea, there. It's a shame the keystone is so far away from frenzy charges... The question is if you gain the attack speed bonus from being at "low health" due to blood rage (separate attack speed bonus than the frenzy charges give). Since you are technically at 100% health (1/1) I wouldn't think this bonus could trigger until the instant you die.

I don't seem to gain any attack speed bonus while the buff is active without any charges, so that seems to be the case.

No. 1 out of 1 is 100%. Low life is below 35%. You cannot be on low life with chaos inoculation unless you're dead.
"Chaos immunity does prevent the chaos degen of Blood Rage. "Actually, chaos inoculation is getting notably more complicated. The changes make it better, but using "life you would have otherwise had" instead of "life" in a bunch of calculations is more complicated, not less. | |
The complications I was thinking of are a little different, though I understand that the passive itself is becoming more complicated. Complications are, for me, getting frozen/shocked for long durations and stunned 50% of the time.
So, more complicated for you guys, less complications for players in general. ;-) Urist McDwarfy has been happy lately. He admired an exceptional ARPG recently. He took joy in slaughter lately. He has been attacked by the dead recently.

I would agree that those are problems, but not complications. They're pretty simple things which happen.[/pedant]
