[2.4] THE FREEZERATOR. Dual Cospri's Malice Crit Assassin Lacerate. Frostbolt/Arctic Breath/Vortex
For those of you wanting to maximize effectiveness of using 2x Cospri's Malice...
You need 10 attacks per second (20 hits per second) in order to maximize dual wielding spell cast output. Let's assume perfect attack speed roll of 1.82. Multiplicative Attack Speed Modifiers 94% MORE Multistrike 20% MORE Insanity crafted gloves 10% MORE from Dual Wielding bonus 25% LESS from Lacerate 1.82 x 1.94 x 1.20 x 1.10 x (1-0.25) = 3.495 attacks per second with 0% increased attack speed 10 attacks per second / 3.495 = 286% increased attack speed required. We need to get 286% increased attack speed on the passive tree and gear to reach 10 attacks per second. Keep in mind we need to maintain a high crit chance in order to cast on every hit. I'm not sure 286% increased attack speed while maintaining high crit is possible. 54% from 20/20 Increased Attack Speed Gem 20% from 20/20 Blood Rage 12% from crafted Gloves 15% from Rat's Nest helmet. 24% if we have 6 frenzy charges 125% increased attack speed from Gems and Gear and Frenzy Charges 161% still required from Tree or Jewels. It's going to incredibly difficult to get 10 APS and stay at crit cap IMO. Fresh builds all day.

" Dude, 10 attacks per second? that is so overkill it's ridiculous. Just get 95% crit chance and as close to 95% accuracy as possible. With that, and anything over 5 attacks per second you'll be optimized. After capped crit chance and accuracy, and 5+ attacks per second, it's way more important to start working on high energy shield rather than more attacks per second. 8.0 Attacks per second feels good tho.
Also you shouldn't be using 20% more attacks speed gloves, 3.5% crit is much better. |
|
" You need 10 attacks per second to max out your possible cast rate with 2x Cospri's Malice. You only need 5 attacks per second if you are only using one. If you are using 2x Cospri's Malice but only have 5 attacks per second you are wasting your DPS potential IMO. Fresh builds all day.

" Wrong. Without the 20% MORE attack speed gloves... 1.82 APS base 94% MORE from Multistrike 10% MORE from Dual Wield 25% LESS from Lacerate 2.913 APS before attack speed increases. 10/2.913 = 343% increased attack speed required 343 - 286 = 57 You need an additional 57% increased attack speed from gear or your skill tree compared to with the 20% MORE gloves. Without the 3.5% Base Crit gloves.... With Assassin and 6 power charges and an Inc Crit Strikes Gem we have 10.4% base crit. With the 3.5% base crit on gloves we get 13.9% 95% crit cap / 10.4% base crit = 913% increased crit chance required 95% crit cap / 13.9% base crit = 683% increased crit chance required 913 - 683 = 230 You need an additional 230% increased attack speed from gear or your skill tree compared to with the 3.5% crit gloves. 230 / 57 = 4.03 If Crit values on the tree and gear are 4.03 times easier to get than attack speed point per point then the attack speed gloves are better otherwise the crit gloves are better. Just remember, frenzy charges give you 4% attack speed whereas power charges give you 50% increased crit. I believe crit is usually going to be easier to stack since we start off in Assassin but it totally depends on what your tree ends up looking like. Fresh builds all day.

I think he meant the Crit Chance gloves if you go Inquisitor. It's super easy to max out crit chance on Assassin so I would agree that attack speed gloves are going to be better, but if you go Inquisitor you pretty much have to have crit on every single item possible and you'd still need to level super high to get a good crit chance.
Obviously the more attack speed the better. I was just meaning that in order of priority I would say Crit chance, then accuracy, then 5+ attacks per second, then high energy shield, and finally if you have all of that, then more attack speed. |

Is this build Harcore viable or only scrubcore?
