I highly recommend getting ES gear before Doryani's. The damage boost is not that great and as everyone says in this thread: damage is more than ok. Just get a bit lower values until you can afford to upgrade. Getting 10k ES allows you to do almost any content, if not all. My Flameblast DPS in hideout with Flame Golem is 2340 and I've done normal Atziri and T12 maps (not higher since I don't have them). No problems there. I do have 12,5 k ES though. And remember Vaal Discipline, saves you in those rough spots.

For anyone wondering about the bench mark of gears, you can kindly check the Gear session to see OP's gears. OP literally used those gears to accomplish all the achievements listed at the start of the guide. You can see that the gears are pretty reachable.
Considering the price of Doryani's, no need to rush for it before getting decent ES gears. Aim for 10K ES first.
Holy moly this build is strong! I just did deathless Shaper run on BSC with a 5L. This was also my first time trying Shaper ever, I mean I didn't even know his mechanics before the fight!

Might be off-topic but I just wanted to say:
Because of this build it feels really hard for me to enjoy this game right now. Because every other build feels so boring and weak compared to this.
Kidding aside. I really like playing this build in Essence and can only recommend it.
