R.I.P. [2.6] Explosive Arrow - Elementalist Build Guide (multi class + version, in depth theory)
Have you thought about using Eye of Innocence + Mokou's Embrace? Seems like it could be really good.

" Remember that a rare quiver will give you a nice amount of life, which the Rearguard lacks. Also you need 170 to all resists in red ele weakness maps. Having more resistances makes it easier to roll good damage on opal rings. Try to put Doriani's invitation on top of the list. That item is pretty nice for soft core. If resists are still a problem just use rare gloves. Resists should be capped at all times. This is always your number 1 priority. Especially fire resist should be capped at 170 if possible. Otherwise the list seems ok. Maybe just try to get a single 6 link to start with instead of a another 5 link. You should get a haku weapon and start leveling empower and Explosive arrow gems in off set of weapons. " I have thought about it, but this setup is better. Here's why: Mokou's embrace gives up to 25% fire damage and 20% attack speed. The opal ring gives up to 55% damage and we already have a high (decent) attack speed. Opal rings can also have life rolls on them. Eye of innocence gives up to 70% damage. Ngamahu tiki can also give up to 70% damage without the need to be ignited. It also gives life and a bit of resists. Furthermore it is much cheaper and thus it can be corrupted for a better implicit. That being said the other option is not that bad either and it can be fun. Thoughts on CI version?
|

" I don't think I have enough money to do it in Legacy and I don't play Standard. I think the build will be more expensive and harder to start going. The life one is ez to level. Also Grand spectrum... Quill rain and gem set up is similar. For soft core the good BM version is king imo. It could be pretty tanky tho... I don't really have experience with es gear so I can't say much about it. Are there any other CI EA builds? Last edited by Greengroove#7929 on Mar 16, 2017, 8:25:55 PM

Hey Groove,
Nice guide write up. Very well written. I'm planning to roll this one as I have saved some currency on my league starter on Legacy SC. I would like to ask how far do you think you think a 5L Carcass Jack and a 5L Quill rain running on the recommended tree can carry me until I can farm enough currency for a 2x6L Quill rain / Kaom's chest and Viridian Tree setup? So how is this build in HC? I dont to do the Duelist version because of the leveling pain that will give me. Is this like a glass cannon or?
Appreciated! Rob |

what to do vs corrupted blood packs?I do not have time to press antibleed flask.Just one shot my 7300 hp even with life leech from belt and atziri's flask at t14+ maps.

" If you have a 5 link Carcass you'll be fine. Just remember that the only defense we have is life pool and regen. In fact EA costs a lot of life. If you get high gem level EA 20, maybe Empower 3 u should be fine. Focus on damage on gear. Use new "The Wise Oak" flask. " I wouldn't do that to be honest. Sure damage is better, but attack speed... " It can be "tanky" if you focus on life. The only defense is a high life pool. If there's sign of trouble you run away and off screen dps things down or log out... " Use flask. Don't use Atziri's promise. The leech is very minimal. Only helps with slower or no regen maps a bit. Last edited by Greengroove#7929 on Mar 17, 2017, 5:05:45 PM

so with the nerfs to aoe, do we use a increase aoe gem anymore? or is it better to substitute that with another gem? if so which gem please?
also just skip the aoe nodes altogether? or invest in the templar ones only? |
