Hey green could this flask see any use on this build or is it not needed? http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Wise_Oak Also if it does, which flask would it be replacing?

Good catch! Didn't realize that the flask existed. I must say it looks shit. :)

But yeah it can be used to mitigate reflect or amp up the damage + better mitigation against other element/s.

It could replace the ruby flask / cheaper Dying sun

In fact I would go as far as saying that this one has better potential than dying sun for the Elementalist.
What enchant is better for helmet? Aoe or dmg?

Please search for "What are the best enchants for this build?" spoiler.
Thoughts on The Gull over Devoto's for the helm slot? Do the shrines add more benefit than the attack speed? Assuming you have enough dexterity in other slots.

I am not playing EA this league and I don't really know how The Gull works in 2.6. However, the helm Hrimnor's Resolve is now a very good alternative to Devoto's Devotion. It got significant buffs in this patch! It now has life, more damage and some utility. In terms of clear speed Devoto is still better with 20% movement speed. But life and damage is something that might be worth looking into. However, dexterity might be an issue with this helmet.

That being said I'm going to try and test. If you or anyone else tests the helm I'd appreciate the feedback. The Gull can be a good option for ES based EA builds.

Now I'm intrigued, how would an ES based EA build work?
What number can i use as an indicator for my dps?

the dps of my EA doesn't really change while i progress. iam level 71 now and have a EA dps of ~200
the explosion damage in the tooltip says 400-550 or something. but even this does not change on using jewels with fire damage or something.

so i don't find a number that shows of the dps of the EA really?

my EA damage obviously raises since i oneshot bosses up to T3 now. but the damage numbers i see dont really grow.

I use path of building to get the ignite dps, which is effectively what we are really scaling

Path of building is Awesome indeed. I'm still unsure how to calculate damage on EA. Honestly I have never attempted to calculate it. It's quite a hard calculation that involves base damage and then you need to add effect of curses, penetration,... Then Elemental Equilibrium and burn. Than there is the question of how efficiently you apply EE and there could even be other factors involved like flask and maybe even flask effect with Pathfinder, not to mention the ascendancies... Of course there is also the question of how many stacks you unload on the target. Of course 5 stacks is best but in hard fights 2-3 stacks is more realistic.

The tool tip reflect the attack part of the damage witch is negligible. We deal damage with the explosions.

The short answer is EA scales the most with levels. That's why EA level 21 is so good and Empower is so desirable. As for damage... In end game you deal A LOT of damage and with Grand spectrum jewels you deal A SHIT LOAD of damage. I can assume 500k+ quite easy but probably can get much higher with all buffs and good gear. I think with a good explosion and ignite we can talk million/s.
