Vaal lightning trap provides shocking ground for a very reasonable duration. Especially when linked to increased duration.

I see that you said Atziri (normal) was do-able but I am getting wrecked by her despite high lvls and pretty decent gear. Do you have any advice on how to beat her?

The Atziri fight is a wonderfully mechanical fight. She can wreck you indeed. Assuming you don't have problems to get to Atziri the main thing to know is to pick your moments to attack. You have to be moving ALL THE TIME or you will die. Don't shoot the miror clone in the split phase. You can curse her with Flammability. HOWEVER the curse will reflect back to you so you have to be over capped accordingly! Use LMP or culling strike instead of GMP. You should probably just recolor the quill to 2r 2g 2b. Even better, get a second quill rain. Getting +1 to arrows will help a lot in (chaotic) fights such as Atziri.

This is the most intensive mechanical fight in the game. It will take you practice to learn how it works. You can use Ruby and Topaz flask to mitigate damage. Main thing is shoot and RUN! :) You can also analyze video footage (Youtube). It might even be a good idea to record yourself so you can see when you make mistakes.

The pieces are relatively cheap. I think you just need practice. But know that she can only be ignited in the split phase.

GL, U can do it!

Look at Frenzy Charge instead of Frenzy Skill. We get 4% attack speed 4% more damage per charge.

This build looks really fun to play! Thank you for putting it together.

A question... How well would a Taming/Emberwake setup work with this build?

Well honestly the merit is only in the writing. There is nothing original and unique in this build. Taming/Emberwake rely on stacking many ignites. We on the other hand rely on the raw damage. With explosive arrow you can stack up to 5 fuses (onto a target enemy) that will amplify your damage and then a BIG boom and the burn takes care of the rest.

For the highest content you cant get to stack more than 2-3 arrows. You have to keep moving all the time. On the defensive side we do mostly rely on manual kiting to stay alive. But we can kill stuff off screen... The high life pool and life regen helps us with traps etc.

Please read up on Elemental equilibrium. It's very important to really understand how it works. Sometimes people do it wrong and you can lose a lot of damage if you mess it up. But if you do it right, well things will die. It is one of the biggest damage boosts we get. But you need to do it right (on bosses). Trash doesn't matter.

Oh and the othere extremely important thing is the EA gem level! The gem's damage scales similar to a spell so it has to be as high level as possible. With a gem level 19 you should be able to do T14s but generaly having 20/20 is advised for all content.

Thank you very much for responding to me so quickly... A few more questions for you if you don't mind..

Interesting, I see. I really enjoy the ignite stacking mechanic of Taming/Emberwake as well as the Explosive arrow stacking of this build. Is there any way to combine the two for maximum damage?

If I'm understanding Elemental Equilibrium correctly, I would have to have a way of applying a different (other than fire) elemental attack first BEFORE the fire damage goes off, correct? Like having added flat cold/lightning damage on gear, correct?

Understood. I'll try to grab a high level gem (with quality).

No. I mean you can but it's not worth it. if you can get 2 opal rings (with essence crafting) instead that's the best. You would not be able to apply many stacks on the enemy. even the T15 bosses can be burned down like flies if the gear is right.

Yes but EA has 2 parts of damage. First you shoot the EA arrow. It applies EE. Then the explosion. This will reset the EE. And lastly the burn damage. Note that the explosion resets EE, meaning you have to re apply EE again to get the most out of the burn part!
