Hacked Accounts

I'm not saying that I think this is what's happening, but it does seem perfectly plausible.

You guys were warned in CBT that hackers would come Chris, you guys were warned. I warned you, as did many other users. Once the economy mattered, they would attack in full force and you didnt listen to us. We told you to authenticate, you didnt listen to us. Now behold the shit storm of CS issues that will take you forever to sort out and respond to. Not only that but you have infuriated many gamers with you response on not restoring items, all from something easily preventable if you guys just took the time to do it before launching. You guys were warned, you didnt listen feel the rage.

Not restoring items I feel is a pathetic response to the issue at hand. Telling the person they're out on their ass. Especially over something you were warned, and you acknowledged to us in CBT. It's not like you didnt see it coming, dont lie because we talked about it during CBT. You cannot claim ignorance on this issue. 'Tis impossibru.

You were warned, failed to act, people are losing hours and hours of their time because of your failure to act, and as a result they are told to essentially "deal with it". That is garbage level CS. It really truly is.

It's 2013, you have an economy in a game that is CRITICAL to its success and you dont prepare yourselves with authentication either through google or your own authentication yaaaaaaaaa you 'dun goofed.

you were warned, glad to see you guys are working on some fixes, but too little to late for those that were hacked.

Nice to see a developer that puts the games integrity above correcting players own mistakes.

Everyone seems to be a certified security penetration specialist here, hind-sight is 20/20 btw.
They have principles they stand by even if they drown in a see of tears from whiners.

I like that.

in a world where it seems every1 has to be "fool-proof protected" by the authorities, this is one step in the direction where you should think about the consequence of your actions.

People are getting more and more mind(brain?)less and if something (bad) happens, someone else has to be blamed for it. (e.g.: Hot coffee at mc-d.)

If something is so precious to you that you can't stand losing then protect it at best YOU can do! The only thing GGG can be blamed for is the use of the e-mail as login name (which i already found stupid at battle.net) and i guess that is the main reason for the compromised accounts as the info were stolen somewhere else (maybe even blizzard as they got hacked some time ago and some of the data maybe has been cracked by now) and is now used to login.
Lost all my currency, maps and quality gems today due to getting hacked. When I realized that, I got slightly annoyed that I'd now have to contact support to get my stuff back, but no big deal right? It has happened to be a few times before on other games, and there has never been any problems getting my stuff back.

Imagine my surprise then, when I get a response back from support telling me essentially to go fuck myself in a polite a way as possible. This bizarre policy of assuming that everyone who has gotten hacked is somehow cheating, and refusing to help people who has been the victim of a theft is pretty self destructive.
I know that I personally, and probably a lot of other people who has been hacked will be a lot more cautious about spending money on this game in the future. Way to scare off your paying customers.

Edit: I have to say though, the bot they used to trip my account was pretty terrible. Only took quality gems and other stuff from the stash, but left all the stuff in the inventories and slots on my characters. Didn't even take the 11 chisels I had in my stash. If you're gonna steal from me, at least make an effort.

Have you ever wondered why you're a repeat victim in this sort of masquerade?
